It's been about 2 or 3 weeks since we found out what Hazel is having, and I'm excited about being an uncle to a baby boy. I've been saying I can't wait for him to be born, but right about now during this time, I can't wait for him to get older and be able to run and have fun. There are way too many girls in this family, so we need a couple boys to balance everything out. There's always too many attitudes in one room.
Right now, we're getting ready for Javier's big day. He's finally a starter in the lineup for the game and it's sad that it took these fuckers years to realize my boy got talent. He should've been one of the first players in the starting lineup, but I guess him being one now is all that matters since he's finally gonna be able to show the world what he's been doing his whole life.
They're playing the Celtics in the Staples Center tomorrow, so we're all headed to Los Angeles for support. This'll be a good lil mini vacation/trip for the girls as well, so why not? Although I'm still upset with Karter's actions at school, I'm not gonna hold it against her because we've all been through something like that. She made her mistake and suffered the consequences by being punished, so I won't be evil and just leave her here by herself. Not to mention, we had a little talk about everything she's been through when I'm not around to translate for her, and I had to see from her point of view how it can be a bit frustrating feeling helpless in the world. People can take advantage of the most precious things when they find a defect in it. She's been through enough, and I don't want to bring anything else upon her that she wouldn't be comfortable with.
"This my ticket daddy?" Justyce asks holding her ticket up.
"Yeah. Give it here for you lose it."
She extends her arm to me and hands me the ticket. I go over to Demi's fanny pack and put it in there, along with all the other tickets so that she can hold onto it for us.
As much as I hate to say it, Demi is the most responsible of us two. She may play around a lot, but one thing she doesn't do is lose anything important. She'd cherish these tickets for the rest of her life if you let her.
"Y'all ready?" Demi asks coming down the stairs.
"Waiting on you."
"I'm ready."
"Aight lets go."
"Hazel nem at the airport already?" She asks, grabbing her fanny pack and wrapping it around her waist.
"No they on their way there though." I say grabbing my keys.
"Oh okay... Where's Karter?"
"Outside already. She was helping me put the bags in the car."
"Babe, how you like my glasses?" She holds either sides of the glasses with both hands and makes a face. "These are gorgeous, right?"
