Hazel
"Will you be able to get her?" Demi asks referring to Justyce, who is still in the hospital.
Although Justyce is well over fine from her fever now, the doctors wanted to keep her a little longer and run more tests to see if they can find out what was the cause and root of her asthma attacks. Yes attacks. Over the week she's been in the hospital, she's had two more attacks and I'm honestly scared for her. I know those attacks occur with kids in their younger stages of life, but I didn't know they can have three attacks within a one week span. That sounds life threatening and scary as hell.
I really hope they can find the root to why she's having them because I can't bare to see the fear in her eyes and all over her face when she does have them. I want my little munchkin #2 to be back to her normal self.
"Yes of course. I'm about to leave now."
"You sure?" She asks and I can tell she's twiddling with her fingers. "I mean I can call off again t-"
"Of course I'm sure this is my godchild which means I'm the secondary mother." I chuckle. "Go get your money sis I'm done anyway."
I love Demi with all my heart, but I don't like how she always gets scared to ask me to watch or get the kids from a certain location. I might be busy but it's only two answers I can give and she knows the answer I'll always pick. Those girls are like my own and I'd do anything for them. Just like Ava, they're one of my main priorities. She needs the distraction anyway. She's way too stressed out at the moment.
"Okay thank you."
"No problem."
I disconnect the call and post the pictures I took of the face I'd just finished to my Snapchat and Instagram. I spray her face to keep the makeup in place until she decides to take it off, and then take the money from her before gathering my stuff and leaving. This is one of the many clients where we actually aren't that close. She's new so it was pretty silent besides the small talk I made with her about her being exited over her sister's pregnancy.
I put my makeup bag on the floor in the backseat and get in my car. After turning the car on, I roll the windows down and turn on the air conditioner so that the car can cool down from being in all that heat. When it gets cool enough, I roll the windows back up and make my way to the hospital.
"Good afternoon." The lady at the front desk greets.
"Good afternoon." I smile and get on the elevator.
I press the button to the floor Justyce is on and wait patiently for the elevator to stop and the doors to open. When it does, I step out and go to her room.
"Nommy!" She yells once she sees me, jumping up from the bed.
She has so many nicknames for people that I completely forgot all about that one. I don't know where she gets them from, but I won't make her stop because she's happy. I actually like this one better than all the other ones though.
"Wait girl." I stop her from pulling the wires from her.
"Sorry."
"You okay."
I pick her up and hug her as she wraps her arms and legs around me. I smile and kiss her cheek before sitting her back down on the bed. I pull the top of her hospital gown down some and fix the heart electrode patches on her chest and sides.
