You're waiting by the school gates.
I can't help but smile a little, knowing that I'm the one you're waiting for.
"Jihoon!" I call out to you.
I can just see that you're frowning again at how loud my voice is.
I hope you'll stop doing that.
It doesn't suit you.
"I'm sorry, but I can't walk home with you today. My mom told me to go get a few things at the convenience store before I go home," I tell you.
"Okay," you simply say.
I was hoping you'd offer to come with me.
"Do you want to go with me?" I ask.

"No thanks. I have a lot of homework to do so I should be home early," I reply.
You nod your head in understanding, and that's all that happens before we say our short goodbyes.
I walk away and start heading home, down the same street the two of us always take.
