호시
I run after you.

Down the same street we always take,
I see you, already far in the distance with your head bowed low.

I run and try to catch up, feeling the weight of my heavy backpack bother me a little bit.

"Jihoon!" I yell out.

Thankfully, you stop.
You turn your head to look at me.

In that moment, my steps begin to falter. My chest tightens, my stomach churns, as I see tears streaming down your pretty face.

우지
I turn before you can react.
Wiping away a few tears, I walk down the street, at a faster pace this time.
I don't look back.

I hear you yell out my name again.
And when I do, I break for a run.

I can hear your shoes chasing after me.
But I won't let you catch up.
I won't let you see the mess I've become.

"Jihoon!"

I hate it.
I hate your voice.
When you call my name,
With that worried tone.
I hate it.

Why did I have to meet you?

One second, I feel that you're getting nearer, the other, I come to know you have fallen even more behind.

I continue running with my heart pounding and my eyes still spilling.
It feels like an hour before I see the front porch of my house.

I run in, locking the door behind me.

Locking the world out.
