Chapter Eight: "Ethan's Guide To A Good Date"
Tuesday
"I'LL HAVE HER BACK by nine," Ethan yells to my dad through the window of the car.
We both wave goodbye to my parents as they stand on the porch, watching us drive away.
I roll the window up. The breeze was too much for me to handle. Goosebumps had started to form already, and rubbing them wasn't helping one bit.
"So where are we going?" I ask out of curiosity, attempting to take my mind off of the fact that I was freezing.
"I don't know. How do you feel about yatchs?" Ethan smiles.
My jaw drops. There was no way in hell we were going anywhere near a yacht. I was highly allergic to large bodies of water.
"You're not serious," I huff with slight fear. I could get sea sick just by thinking of water.
"Would I ever lie to you?" he says looking over at me. His stare was intense that I found myself not being able to look away.
"Pay attention to the road Paul Walker," I say raising my brow.
He laughs. "I was always really good at the drive and stare."
And he was. I had never seen that daring side of him. It reminded me of Grayson, or the forbidden twin as Perri liked to call him. She was too into mystery books.
I felt bad though. Here I was on a date with Ethan, but all I could think about was Grayson.
"Is something wrong?" E asks. "You're mighty quiet."
"I'm fine," I lie. "Just hungry."
It wasn't a complete lie. I was actually kinda starved. My stomach had started to buzz a bit.
"Well I hope you like seafood because we...are here, " Ethan says stopping the car. We were parked at a dock. Part of me still thought that he was joking when he said we were dining on a yacth, but he wasn't.
"Ethan...you're serious? I can't even take a shower without feeling like I'm about to drown!"
He raises his right hand in the air.
"As serious as the plague."I roll my eyes and we get out of the car. We make our way towards a small boat, and inside, there's a man dressed as a sailor.
"I hope you don't get seasick. This boat is suppose to take us out to the yacht, " Ethan says helping me inside.
I couldn't make any promises. Motion sickness was more of my problem, so if the boat was shaking a lot, I was sure to let loose.
We ride the boat out to the yacth, and I'm stiff the whole time. Small droplets of water hit my face every now and then, and I'm lucky that I have on water proof makeup. I didn't wear much anyways, so it wouldn't matter if I had to wipe it off. I just liked to put in a little extra effort to look decent.
Once we get onto the yacht, there was a table set with roses and candles waiting for us. It was all so beautiful, and I wanted to take a picture. All of the little details were perfect. It was like having one of those cupcakes that are too pretty to eat, yet you eat it anyway.
We sit down to eat.
"The waiter'll bring our food in a minute, " Ethan states as he smiles towards me. He was all smiles today, and I had no choice but to smile too. Everything was so unreal.
The lights were perfect, the ocean looked perfect, and so did Ethan.
He has on a white shirt with a red bow tie, Suspenders with khakis, and his hair was swirled to the side slightly above his brow.
