*Kendal's POV*
"Oh you're not going anywhere Kenny, why don't we finish the conversation we were having earlier." and there he was again, his hazel eyes staring at me intensely.
My mouth formed the shape of an 'o' but there were no words coming out.
~~~~~~
I finally realised what was going on, as much as it was annoying David I really just wanted to get out of here.
"Um, let me go. My friends are probably wondering why I'm taking so long. So, excuse me." I aimed to walk the door again, but I was blocked by David again. Usually my height is advantage but 5'8" was nothing compared to his 6'2".
"Hey, what's the rush. You've been here for over two hours, so what it is another hour going to do?" says David reasoning with me.
"You're not going leave me alone until I agree to say right?"
"Affirmative." I raised an eyebrow.
"Wow, big words." I huffed "Hold on" I text Ana and Carmen telling them that I am going to reach the hotel later than expected, I made up some excuse that the reunion was taking longer than I anticipated.
"Done" I put my phone away. "Are you happy now?"
"Very." There was an awkward silence shorty
"Aren't you going to sit down or what?" I didn't even realise that I was still standing.
"Oh right." I sat next to him but I made sure that there was one seat between us, he ended up sitting in on the spare seat.
"You're a feisty little one are you." He commented a half smile crept on my face.
"Yeah well I was finishing something you started, I don't usually do stuff like that but I couldn't let this one go."
"I can see." David rested his eyes on me and started looking me up and down "So, I see you have the number '4' on your jersey..." he said smirking
"Yeah, so? It's a very special number to me" I said mindlessly.
"Is it because a certain someone plays with the number '4' on their jersey, so when you said you didn't know I was, were you lying?" he continued to smirk, I wish he didn't do that, it was really hot!
"No, I was actually being serious and it's not really a special number, I lack originality I just chose the number four because I was born on the 4th of November... why else would you... oh, your jersey number is also 4." I assumed correctly, he was really full of himself.
"I'm not full of himself, by the way. I was only messing with you, I shouldn't assume that it was something to do with your birthday." He smiled, it was a genuine smile surprisingly "I don't know, you are... I don't know, I just can't put my finger on it."
"Yeah, I know the word, incredibly underwhelming. Now tell me which one do you want?" David looked at me as if he was dumbfounded.
"Which what?" he asked in a confused tone.
"Stop playing, which girl? the one with black hair or the blonde? Actually, you suit more of the blonde girl agenda, so I guess Carmen is yours then?" I wish he would stop playing stupid.
"Why are you asking this? Why would you even think that? I want to talk to you, why do you think I made you stay here with me, they don't interest me whatsoever."
"Because I want to be a step ahead of the game. I'm tired of all the mind games, any guy I thought was attractive or half decent just used me to get closer to best friends!" as I finish my mini rant I noticed and teardrop trickling down my face, I didn't care that I basically told him I thought he was attractive, and the start to cry even more.
