Xukun's POV
"What happened?" I ask as I walk inside Yanjun's house and I look around trying to find the boy.
"In the kitchen!" I can hear my best friend's shout and I run to the room. Yanjun sits on the dining table and I give him a puzzle glance.
"Emm what are you...whatever, nevermind, just tell me, did you find something that's why you texted me?" I question him and wait impatiently for his answer. Please say yes and say that this time you're actually right.
"I found it but lost it again," he responds and I look at him in disbelief.
"How could you lost it?!" I yell at him sitting loudly on a chair beside. I take a few deep breath trying to calm myself down.
"Oh, I lost it, okay! I tried to kill it but it ran away somewhere and I don't know where," Yanjun says making me confused again. Trying to kill...ran away...it?
"What are you talking about?" I ask him as I get up from my seat.
"About a spider and what do you think I'm talking about..." he explains and my jaw drops. I have no idea how to react to such a statement. That's the moment I lost my faith in him...
"So you texted me to help you find it and kill it?" I ask making myself sure that my friend is just stupid.
"Yeah, obviously!" he shouts and I come closer to him. I drag him down gaining a whines of disapproval. "What are you doing?! Put me down!"
I do as he said and smack the back of his head. "Be a man...oh...why did you call me for a such a not important issue?!" I yell at him and the boy rubs his head. "And where's Ziyi by the way?"
"I don't know. He went somewhere few hours ago and he still hasn't come back. And he isn't answering the phone," Yanjun explains and I sigh deeply.
"He's probably doing something useful," I say taking the water from the fridge and go to the living room. I turn the TV on as I sit down on a couch trying to relax.
"Yeah...and what were you doing today, hmm?" Yanjun asks me with a sarcastic tone. And that's it from relaxing...
"I was in the mall...with Nana," I answer quickly avoiding the eye contact. Yanjun sits next to me and pokes my shoulder in a playful way.
"Ohh...our Romeo took Juliet for shopping," he says teasingly and I give him a death glare. "But how did you manage to take her out like that...I thought she doesn't like you," the boy adds gaining another glance from me.
"I told her that was a thanks for staying with me and the kids that day and I would pay for everything. She'd planned to go to the mall that day but I kinda forced her to stay with the help of the weather. So when we were coming back home the day when she found out...you know...that her real mother's dead, she told me that because of me she had nothing to wear on a date with Chengcheng...so that's how it was," I explain and look at my friend. His expression of disbelief makes me confused. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"You bought her clothes for a date with another guy? If you were her brother...it would be ok. But you like her...and you...oh mann...you're supposed to do everything so this stupid date will never happen," he say and I roll my eyes...he definitely watches too much dramas.
"Listen...first I need to get close to her and make her like me as a friend. I also need to know her more and eventually she'll fall for me...I hope," I respond and sigh...What if she won't?
"And when they'll have this date?" says a voice startling me and Yanjun. We both look at each other holding hands above our hearts and then we turn our heads to the direction of the sound.
