Nana's POV
"Such pretty girls shouldn't be getting wet in the rain like that," Yanjun says looking down at me and holding his hand out to help me get up.
I wipe away the tears and hesitantly accept the offer. He hands me a tissue as I stand straight in front of him and smile thanking him.
"No problem, beautiful woman," he says and I laugh softly under my breath. There are some people and behaviours that never change. "Let me walk you home," he adds and I agree even thought one side of me tells me that it's not really a good idea.
We walk in silence until Yanjun decides to break it.
"Wanna share what's going on inside this pretty head of yours?" he asks and I sigh deeply.
"I'm just stupid...I trusted the wrong person and I let emotions take control over me," I answer not clearly describing the situation but Yanjun only nods his head while humming. "The worst is that...I don't think there's a way to fix it."
Silence sets in between us again. The rain drops hard on the road and on the umbrella. The sound is oddly relaxing.
"Yanjun," I break the silence gaining a hum from the boy. "I know you know where Xukun is...and I know that you won't tell me because he told you not to do so and I'm not surprised, I would do the same if I were him," I say truthfully and stop in my tracks. Yanjun does the same and I look directly in his brown eyes filled with confusion.
"But tell him that I'm sorry and that it's my fault," I ask but the boy doesn't respond. He makes his way to my house and I quietly follow after him.
The rain slowly stops to pour and the grey clouds starts to move away revealing the blue late afternoon sky.
"I heard that there'll be a prom in your school, right? Next week?" he asks and it hits me. I totally forgot.
"You're right! Oh...but how did you know?" I answer with a question gaining a chuckle from the boy.
"I have my ways," he says and I roll my eyes sighing deeply.
"I think I won't go anyway...I don't have a partner now, I would go with Chengcheng, but...you know," I explain and the boy nods his head.
"But you can take people that aren't from school, right?" he asks and I hum in response. "So...don't you wanna go with me?" he adds and I burst out laughing.
"So you would live me after we make it to the school for other girls? No way...beside I don't even have a dress," I decline his ridiculous offer and he just smiles to himself.
"If you change your mind-"
"Not happening."
"But if you do," he stubbornly continues. "You know just call me."
I don't have your phone number...but that's okay, I won't call you anyway.
"Thank you for taking me home," I say as we arrive in front of my house and the boy gives me his cocky smile.
"No problem, pretty girl," he answers and I roll my eyes. He'll never stop with these nicknames...
I turn around and take my hand out to open the door but Yanjun stops me.
"I'll tell him," he says and leaves me standing in front of my house with a sad smile on my face.
"Thank you," I mumble under my breath and get inside.
"NANA!" three voices yell as soon as I close the door behind me. My hand lands on my chest as I jump out of suprise.
"JIZAS! WHERE WERE YOU AND WHY CHENGCHENG CALLED ME PANICKED SAYING THAT HE MESSED UP AND THAT HE'S WORRIED ABOUT YOU AND I SHOULD FIND YOU?!" Qinjia yells and shakes my arm violently while Milan does the same with my second hand and Zhengting stands leaning casually by the wall with relief written all over his face.
