Chapter 24

Nana's POV

I open my heavy eyes and see a beautiful garden in front of me. The trees are green. Unnatural green. The one that can be seen in cartoons and fairy tales. Everything shines brightly. Literally, you can see this sparkles and even touch them. It's so peaceful here...

"Do you like it here?" an annoying voice can be heard behind me and I instantly turn around.

"Justin!" I yell at him for ruining the atmosphere and eye him from head to toe. I blink few times making sure I'm seeing well and put my head to the side.

"Em...Justin? What are you wearing?! Oh no, wait...wrong question...why are you wearing a pink ballgown? And why do you have a crown and a wand...and wings?! And why are you flying?! And why are you so small?!" I bombard him with questions while he stays emotionless.

"Pff...because I'm a fairy...isn't it obvious?" Justin huffs and asks in a sarcastic tone and I just nod my head. "But listen, this is your dream, you're asleep," he adds and I nod my head once more.

That makes sense...

"So why do you oppress me with your presence even in my dreams? I see your face everyday, so why?" I question sadly. That's true though...

"Listen, my presence isn't the worst...my words are much way worse," my brother states and I look at him questionably. "Do you remember what happened two days ago? You know...you and Xukun?" he adds and I gasp loudly as the scene plays in my mind.

"But you don't know about it! No one knows! Even Xukun doesn't remember because he drank too much!" I yell in self-defence and the boy just smirks at me.

"I'm just a figment of your imagination...I'm not real. I'm not real...I'm not like your kiss with Xukun!" Justin laughs and I cover my ears and close my eyes but the image of Xukun kissing me is everywhere.

"Stop!" I shout and open my eyes. I look around and realise that I'm sitting on my bed in my room. My forehead is sweaty and my breaths are heavy.

A deep sigh escapes my mouth as my thoughts come back to my and Xukun's kiss.

His lips lend on mine and I widen my eyes in shock. I rest my hands on his chest in attempt to push him. But I don't use any force since my arms and legs go weak. My eyes close and Xukun's arms wrap around me pulling me closer. A strange warm wave attacks me from the inside. Finally my lips slowly move against his. It's all so soft and gentle.

Suddenly, the cold breeze hits my face and I open my eyes slowly to find Xukun staring right into my eyes. My brain turns on again and I instantly push the boy away. He loses his balance for a moment and I look around making sure nobody have seen this. Luckily, no one's here.

I glance at Xukun and make my way back to the room but a pair of hands around me stops me.

"Nana...don't...go...I..I..like you..."

"Nana!" Justin shouts as I blink few times coming back to present. "Hurry up or you'll be late! We won't wait for you!"

I glance at the clock and curse under my breath. Jizas if I don't turn up the pace, I'll be seriously late...

I quickly do what I have to do and head to school with my brothers.

I can see Milan and Qinjia waiting for me in front of the school gate. I get out from the car as soon as it stops and run up to my friends after biding goodbye with my sibling.

"Why are you waiting for me?" I ask as I catch up to them and smile slightly.

"Because, firstly, we saw Zhengting's car so we decided to wait and secondly, you were so quiet all Sunday, beside you know that like two weeks ago the MV you're in was released and you didn't tell a thing about it? What's happening to you?" Qinjia says with concern in her voice and pats my shoulder. Her eyes full of worry flies through me like darts.
