Xukun's POV

"Congratulations, Xukun."

"Chengcheng," I say as I look at the boy. By the look on his face I can tell that he's not pleased with my presence.

"Do you feel satisfied? Now, that you took everything from me?" the boy asks. The pain is evident in his voice. What is he talking about?

"Cheng, bro, I'm afraid I don't understand," I say gaining a huff from Cheng. He shakes his head and laughs bitterly.

"Don't play dumb. You took away my family, everyone loves you, you know? You took away my dream, why you can have a solo album while I don't know when I'm going to debut after all this years of training. I've been a trainee since I remember. And lastly, my girlfriend."

I haven't known he sees all of this like that. I would never guess that he hates me because of that. I thought that it's only because he's jealous of Nana.

"How do you know about the solo album? Were you eavesdropping?" I ask out of curiousity and a bitter laugh leaves his lips again.

"Does it matter?" he sarcastically responds.

"Okay, listen. I didn't take your family from you and your dream and all. It was never my intention and I have never request for a solo album. I came to this city only to find one person and give back what belongs to her," I explain to him but he huffs once more.

"And what...did you find this person and give that thing back?" he asks taking me by surprise. I was expecting him to yell at me claiming I'm a liar or something like that.

"Yes, I did," I answer truthfully and the boy comes closer to me.

"So what are you still doing here? If you had come here only for that...why are you still here?" he asks making me speechless. The plan was to come home after finishing the mission. But I don't want to leave. Not yet. "Is it because of her? Because of Nana? The person you were looking for?" Cheng adds as he doesn't get any response from me. So he saw us up there.

"Why do you care? You broke up with her anyway, am I wrong?" I play along with him. I'm sick of his false accusations. If he wants a bad Xukun, he'll get one.

"Where you eavesdropping?"

"Does it matter?" I mimic him just like he's mimicked me and smirk at him. Two can play this game.

"Anyway...breaking up with her was a mistake. I'll get her back, so don't put your hopes high," Cheng declares confidently making me chuckle bitterly.

"She kissed me back...doesn't that mean I have a chance? Especialy now when she's a single," I say back and the furious boy takes me by my collar harshly.

"I'm going to win her. You wanna try me? Maybe a bet? Let's see who's better..."

"Xukun come here for a moment," my mom says sitting up on a bed.

"What is it, mom? You need something?" I ask ready to go out to the shop to buy whatever she wants.

"No...I mean I want to tell you something...let's call it a small lesson of how to be a gentleman? You're in?" she offers and I gladly accept it with a big smile on my face.

I love my mom's lessons. I swear I would rather study with her even fifteen hours a day than sitting at school. It's so sufocating, all the homework you're given after the long day and the teachers, that shows how much they dislike they work.
