CHAPTER 48

(At the girls' dorm after coming back from the CEO's office)

(They are very preoccupied and are still having a problem believing what they've just heard at CEO's office a while ago. After seeing the 2 maknaes started crying, Jisoo didn't mind to hold her tears anymore, instead she joined her dongsaengs. They had so much to talk about, to swear or anything but tears came first so they just let it all out. After a while they manage to calm their selves and started staring at nowhere, spacing out. Jisoo did not even notice that Jay is calling. After coming back to herself, she manages to answer Jay's last call. As they talked, she can't help it but to cry as Jay senses that something is wrong with them, as Jay just mentioned Jennie's name. She wanted to tell it to the boys but she just can't because they must keep that secret between them and the CEO for now. After reassuring the boys that they are okay, though it is a lie, she ended the call and they started spilling out their frustrations and everything.)

Chaeng: Why is it that the world is so unfair?
Lisa: Why are they being like that? Jennie unnie did nothing wrong!
Jisoo: I can't help it, I want to swear right now, mianhae uri dongsae's but the world is just a sh!t. Of all people, why Jennie?
Chaeng: She barely fights off her depression then what? An accident?
Jisoo: Worse is a hit and run? Ahhh they must be kidding me jinja!!!!
Lisa: Nappeun nom!! I'll never forgive that sh!t who did that to my Jennie unnie!!!
Jisoo: You know what makes me even madder? The fact that we can't be there by her side while she's fighting it all alone! (They became quiet as they remember what the CEO said a while ago)

FLASHBACK

(They are about to bid goodbye to the CEO when Jisoo...)
Jisoo: Ahh sajangnim, can we ask one favor?
CEO: What is it?
Jisoo: (Although she's very afraid to ask a favor to the CEO, since she already asked, she pushed it all the way) Can we visit Jennie to the New Zealand sajangnim?
CEO: I know that you are very worried and wanted to see her right now but, as I said a while ago, this is our secret so if I take you to New Zealand all of a sudden, everyone will be suspicious. Believe me, when I just came back in here, I wanted you, girls, to go to New Zealand because I just thought that it may be really helpful to Jennie but I just can't. You understand me right?
ChuLiChaeng: Yes sajangnim (in a very low tone)
CEO: Don't be so down. You need to be strong for her.
Jisoo: But sajangnim...(started crying, apparently Chaeng and Lis followed Jisoo and cried again) she got...got into an ac.......accident!!.....and wwo.........wwoo...worse is she.....losst her memories!!
CEO: I know that you're very desperate to go to her right now but think of her, the media might sense something and find out about her condition. I don't want to lose Jennie; I don't want to lose a very talented trainee just because of this unfair world. Just think of it like you're protecting her from not getting her condition exposed just before you debut. It might be a big problem for her when you debut am I right?
Jisoo: Ne, you're right sajangnim. We're very sorry for asking you that favor.
CEO: Ani, it's okay. I know that you'll ask me that sooner or later but I'm sorry. We are all doing this to protect her.
ChuLiChaeng: Yes sajangnim, we'll get going now.
CEO: Okay, go and take a rest okay?
ChuLiChaeng: Yes sajangnim, thankyou so much!

(End of FLASHBACK)

Chaeng: The CEO is right, but isn't he too much unnie? It's just for one day, why not allow us to go and see her just for a day?
Lisa: I get it that Jennie unnie's condition shouldn't be known to the world 'cause it might be a big problem to her when we debut but can't he see that we are very very worried about her? It's just so unfair!!
Jisoo: Stop it you two. I, too wanted to curse at sajangnim as much as you wanted for not allowing us but, after giving it a thought, I just realized that he is right. We all know that YG is very strict when it comes to this kind of issue and it is enough reason to kick you out in here but thankfully, the CEO is supporting us on this so we should take this as a very big favor of him, right? And one more thing, we aren't talking of just any trainee but we are talking about Jennie, our Jennie who just lost her family, which means were the only family left for her, her YG family and I guess that's what sajangnim meant a while.
Chaeng: Unnie I just remembered, sajangnim said Jennie unnie has a temporary amnesia (begin to cry again) I just can't help it, I'm sorry!!
Lisa: Ottoke unnie!! Ahh I don't know what to do. She lost all her memories? Meaning she can't even remember us right?
Jisoo: (hearing those made her cry also though she's holding back her tears in order to look strong in front of the maknaes.) Nado Chaeyoung-nga Lisa-ya ottoke!!!

(The girls just can't help it but to cry their hearts out. It's really hard to believe that why is it happening to Jennie. How will she be able to achieve her dream now? Will she be able to remember her sisters? Will she be able to remember her life in Korea?)
