CHAPTER 30

(Jennie at New Zealand)

(They just arrived at their hospital. The executives are waiting for them outside the hospital)
Executives: Welcome back ma'am, we are very sorry for what happened to madam.
Jennie: Mommy!!!!! (She went straight without minding all the hospital staff and the CEO. She's crying so hard while they show her her mom.) Ommmma, om....mmmma! Nnnoo, no, mommy Jenjen is here. Open your eyes! Look at me mom! I'm here!! Mom!!!!!! You were just fine when we talked yesterday, why are you lying in here? Get up let's go home!!! You told me that you'll come back to Korea, to come home when I debut but what are you doing here sleeping!!!! Wake up mom, I said wake up!!!! Omma!! I said Jennie is here, open your eyes!!!!!!! Jebal!!!!!!!!! Please mommy! Don't do this to me!!!! How am I going to live now? You're so mean!!!! I said get up now!!!!

(The CEO is just standing there watching Jennie break down. He can't even imagine the pain she's feeling right now. She lost both of her parents. The CEO is somehow feeling guilty because 2 weeks ago, Jennie's Mom called the company.)
Jennie's Mom: Annyeong-haseyo sajangnim. This is Jennie Kim's mom. I'm sorry to call you like this when you are very busy.

YG CEO: Ah ne annyeong-haseyo. No it's okay ma'am what can I help you?
Jennie's Mom: I'm sorry to ask you this sajangnim but can you look Jennie for me while I was away? I know this is too much for me to ask you when I know that my daughter is still a trainee and might get eliminated anytime soon but I ask you this favor sir because Jennie once told me that you were like a father to her and to everyone else in your company. I thought that it would be best if you look out Jennie in my place sir?
YG CEO: Ma'am are you okay? Are you going somewhere? (he's getting a bad feeling about this)
Jennie's Mom: Yes I'm fine sajangnim don't worry. I just want to make sure that my Jennie is safe even if I'm not there, beside her.
YG CEO: Okay ma'am. Don't worry, I always take good care of my trainees and just like you said, I am like a father to them I also think of them as my children, so rest assured ma'am.
Jennie's Mom: Thankyou so much sir and I'm sorry for bothering you!
(End of conversation.)

(The CEO did not know that the call was actually Jennie's Mom's last will, according to their lawyer. Because he's like a father to everyone, he's also hurting like he lost her own child, because seeing Jennie suffer makes him suffer too. He somehow felt guilty because he couldn't realize earlier that Jennie's mom is very ill. If he only knew he would have send Jennie home to check on her mom.)
YG CEO: Jennie-ya stop it, you're stressing yourself out, and you might pass out in this state.
Jennie: Appa (that word made the CEO tear up. Jennie then lost consciousness. The staff were now assisting Jennie on her bed while the CEO and the vice president of the hospital are talking.)
Vice President: Hello sir, I'm Jonathan Kim, the vice president of JK Hospital.
YG CEO: Ah hello, I'm Yang Hyun Suk, CEO of YG Entertainment.
Vice President: Madam were very worried about Miss Jennie when she first went to Korea, but when Madam found out that you were the head of where Miss Jennie's agency, she reassured herself that her daughter will be safe.
YG CEO: Thankyou so much for that sir. You might think this is rude but can I ask why did her mom died?
Vice President: Ah, it's so sad to say but madam had a cancer, an ovarian cancer. She got it 2 years after giving birth to Miss Jennie. She did not want to tell this to her because Miss Jennie might give up on his dream which is to become an idol that is why, Madam and Sir just kept it to their selves. They tried to treat it but as time goes by, it became worse until the cancer cells spread throughout Madam's body. When Sir died, Madam suffered so much to treat it but she eventually became positive for Miss Jennie's sake. It was very sad that she left Miss Jennie like this but sir we are asking you in behalf of all the staff in here, please take good care of Miss Jennie so that when the time comes, when she's ready to take over this hospital, we will take care of it for the mean time. (He then bows 90 degrees to show respect to him)
YG CEO: Don't worry sir; I'll take care of her. It's just so sad to think that both of her parents were gone. I know she's a strong girl, I hope that she can overcome this soon.

(Three days after, The CEO went back to Korea, but before he leaves New Zealand, he makes sure that one of their staff or soon-to-be manager of BLACKPINK went there to look out for Jennie. That's the least they can do for Jennie being part of YG Family.)
