CHAPTER 62

(There are a lot of things happening in South Korea right now, especially in YG Entertainment. IKON’s been capturing the eyes and hearts of the people ever since their debut, so YG’s a little bit busy in promoting IKON to the world. They hit the jackpot so IKON’s success is very prominent. Jisoo’s also been very busy doing CF here and there. She’d been also doing CFs with IKON. Both IKON and Jisoo grabbed that chance to bond even though Chaeng, Lis and Jennie’s not there. IKON thought, at least they get to see Jisoo. They did have fun and promised one another that their friendship’s still going strong and hoping for the day to come for their squad to hang out again like they used to do before. Jisoo reassured the boys that they have their full support and love and same with the boys though they don’t have means of communication for the meantime. Jisoo’s very blessed to have this experiences- doing CFs, of course that’s considered as a part of her training too, exposure to the world other than being all around YG’s practice room and their dorm. The squad is really into a long hiatus this time, longer than before because IKON will be promoting overseas soon, Japan to be exact. The girls are yet to debut because Jennie’s still at New Zealand –that’s what they thought. It’s been a while since the girls were called to the CEO’s office.)

ChuLiChaeng: Anneonghaseyo sajangnim!
CEO: Oh annyeong uri BLACKPINK! How are you?
ChuLiChaeng: We’re fine so far we’re still staying strong sajangnim.
CEO: How’s your training?
ChuLiChaeng: It’s okay sajangnim.
CEO: Isn’t it a bit late for your debut? I mean you’ve trained enough so I guess your debut is the only thing left?
ChuLiChaeng: (The girls were very nervous because they know what the CEO is talking about- that they need to debut now, or any moment.)
Jisoo: But sajangnim… Jennie’s still not here…
CEO: That’s the only thing that holding you back, you’re not complete so I guess it’s now time to..(the girls were very nervous that he might replace Jennie just for them to debut. The girls are really are feeling nervous and are close to crying again in front of the CEO.) make a decision.
ChuLiChaeng: What decision sajangnim?
CEO: You’ll debut as a four-member group as planned but you need to let go of Jennie, I’ll be holding a new evaluation soon for the final member of BLACKPINK or forget the debut and just continue being a trainee of YG or other companies.
ChuLiChaeng: (The girls were totally shocked by what just the CEO said. Tears are already forming in their eyes.) Sa-sajangnim….ah…can you give us some time? Please?

ChuLiChaeng: Ani, we’re not leaving her behind. You said you give us time to think so it’s not over yet sajangnim. We’re going to think about it carefully.
CEO: Yes do that please. I’ll give you 3 days. You may go now. (It’s hard for him to see his trainees crying. Well what can he do, although he is the CEO, he can’t just ignore his co-executives and everything.)

(The girls just arrived at their dorm. It very quiet because they are all spacing out. They are thinking very deeply what just the CEO told them.)
Chaeng: Unnie
Lisa: Ottoke?
Jisoo: Girls, do you want to debut now? (they can’t answer) Let me rephrase it, do you want this or not?
Chaeng: How about you unnie?
Lisa: Do you want this? (Jisoo can’t answer it also.)

Chaeng: I’m gonna do it ONLY if Jennie unnie is with us. I’m not gonna debut without her. How ‘bout you?
ChuLi: (They’re feeling guilty for judjing Chaeyoung that fast) I’m sorry Chaeyoung-nga we thought you’re leaving Jennie behind. Yeah, you’re right, we’re not gonna debut without her even if we remain as trainees for the rest of our lives.
Jisoo: I know that we have so many friends who are also trainees like us but nothing compares to Jennie.
Lisa: You’re right unnie. We are her family so we shouldn’t leave her behind.
Chaeng: You’re right Lisa-ya, we’re the only ones left for her. If we’re gonna do it, then we should do it right.

(Three days passed. The girls are at the CEO’s office)
CEO: I guess you’ve made your decisions.
ChuLiChaeng: Yes sajangnim. You gave us choices whether to debut without Jennie or forget the debut and just remain trainees without definite future. That’s why we decided that we should just work harder and define our future ourselves sajangnim whether we become singers or not as long as we’re together. You can just give the debut spot to other trainees sajangnim. They wanted it so bad. You might misunderstood us but we also wanted to debut like any other trainees were dreaming off, but we can only do that with Jennie even if it takes 2 years, 10 years and many many more years for her to get back her memories, we’ll be debuting together.
CEO: Are you sure about that? No take backs.
ChuLiChaeng: VERY SURE SAJANGNIM. That’s our decision and we thought of that very carefully.
