CHAPTER 68

(After the party, IKON decided to go to the girls’ dorm and surprise them but it seems like they are the ones surprised because the girls were already sleeping. They thought that maybe they went out but it’s already late, their lights are all out so they just let them and went back to their dorms with a heavy heart. It’s the only chance they have but it’s their fault after all that they didn’t get to see the girls because they were too late. Poor IKON, maybe next time will do.)

(Time passed by. IKON, as usual are very busy promoting and are now getting ready for their IKONCERT TOUR. It’s gonna be long and still they haven’t meet BLACKPINK yet. They don’t have any news about them. On the other hand, the girls are just depending on the television or radio for IKON’s news. At least they have that way, unlike the boys, they don’t have contacts and everything, ever since they debuted, all of their phones were collected and when it was returned, it turns out that they all have new numbers and everything- manager’s duty after all.)

Jay: We’re gonna be busy after this week. What’s your plan?
BI: No matter how I tried to persuade hyungnim(manager) he won’t let us take a day off. Ottoke hyung?
Bobby: It’s been so long since we last saw them (the girls) Are they okay? Do they resent us for not contacting them?
Jay: I wish that’s not the case though.
BI: Yeah, hyung you’re right, they are not that type of persons as far as I can remember. I wish they are all okay and for Jennie, I wish I could see her (lowers his voice.)
Bobby: Yah imma, just keep on waiting, she will be okay soon and she will come back soon.
Jay: Yeah, cheer up!!!

(What the boys don’t know is, Jennie is already in Korea, two months ago. It’s just that the squad haven’t meet or see each other yet ever since IKON debuted, that was almost 5 months now. Well that’s their fate as an idol and as a trainee. Maybe soon, if God permits then they will soon see each other again, a complete one- together with Jennie and the new member CHAN.)

(The girls were busy preparing for their upcoming evaluations and everything. Before January, 2016 ends, they had their evaluation as a four once again.)

Jisoo: Are you ready?
Chaeng: Unnie, why am I feeling so nervous?
Lisa: Me too unnie! I feel like my heart wanted to come out!!!
Jennie: Me three!!! Is this how nerve-cracking these evaluations here in YG unnie? Jennie calm down!!!!
Jisoo: (Deep inside, she’s also nervous but as the oldest of the group, she tries to be strong and show no fear and nervousness in front of her dongsaengs.) Don’t think anything. Just focus on having fun and enjoying everything okay? Let’s do this. BLACKPINK kaja let’s do it! Hana! Dul! Set! Huuuh!

(After the evaluation, they were called to the CEO’s office.)
CEO: Well, what can I say, it feels like Jennie didn’t lost her memories at all, I can still see the four of you like you used to before, it feels like nothing’s changed. Very well done! BLACKPINK let’s do it okay?
BLACKPINK: (Can’t believe what they’ve heard) Ne?
CEO: I’ll let you debut in one condition!
BLACKPINK: Ne? debut?!!! Thankyou sajangnim!! Thankyou so much!! Condition? What is it sajangnim?
CEO: Teddy’s going to give you a song, you need to rearrange it and make your own dance steps of it, yeah you heard me right, dance steps, meaning that song coming from Teddy will be a dance song. Your vocals are all okay now, it’s just that your dances are still a little bit lacking. Everybody knows that YG doesn't usually give importance on dancing, look at your sunbaes(BIGBANG), they are more into singing than dancing and even though they have those specific steps, they just don't follow it and instead, they are just enjoying being on stage. I want you to focus on your dancing for the meantime because i want you to do the same like your sunbaes soon, do the basics first and that's the basics of enjoying your performances, even though you're not in sync or something at least you know what to do when you're on stage as profesisonals. Did you get my point? and I’ll give you 2 months to do all your preparations. You can ask help with one of our choreographers, but only one. Consider that as your last evaluation before you debut okay? Ah before I forgot, we’ll be filming that and I am planning to release that before you debut. Remember, that video will be like your first appearance to the world as the upcoming new YG Girl Group so better give all your best to impress not me but the people who will be watching your performance okay?
BLACKPINK: (Hearing that makes them more nervous than before, having the thought of preparing a video, a performance for the people pressures them so much which makes them so nervous and excited at the same time.) Okay sajangnim. We’ll do our best. Please look forward to it. BLACKPINK’S coming to your areas!!!!!
CEO: If you do well on that, I’ll let you debut this year. But if you don’t then maybe next year will do?
BLACKPINK: Ani, we’re going to debut this year and no other year sajangnim!
CEO: (laughs) Okay okay, I guess you’re very desperate now, well I like that confidence you have right now. BLACKPINK show me what you got then? Let’s see each other again in two months shall we?
BLACKPINK: YES SAJANGNIM! THANKYOU SO MUCH SAJANGNIM! (Left the CEO office with full of emotions.)
