CHAPTER 50

(At South Korea, January 16, 2015)

(The squad decided to go out to celebrate Jennie's birthday. IKON asked permission to their soon-to-be manager if they could eat dinner outside and they were allowed to go out just for today since it's Friday. BLACKPINK did the same and they were also allowed because the CEO told their manager-to-be that the girls needed some time considering their situation and Jennie's. They are now at their favorite restaurant. The boys are expecting the girls to finally tell them what they can't tell a week ago.)

Jisoo: Before anything else, I want to sincerely thank you for being here, for joining us celebrate Jennie's birthday, though we should not be doing this given the fact that she's still suffering (she started tearing up so the girls followed her, and they are about to cry) but I think this is the only thing we could do for her for the mean time.
Song: You're right; this is the only thing we could do for the meantime so we should be stay strong for her.
ChuLiChaeng: Kamsahamnida oppa.

(As the night gets deeper and deeper, their chatting and everything also went deeper and deeper, until.....)
BI: Noona, can I ask something?
Jisoo: What is it Hanbin-na?
BI: When will Jennie come back here?
Song: Ahh yes, before we forgot, when will she come back here?
Jay: Do you have any idea when will she come back in here Jisoo-ya?
Bobby: We're very curious, we wanted to ask you this long long time ago.
June: It's been so long, I hope she's okay now.
DK: Yeah, Jennie noona is a very strong girl.
Chan: Yeah, I think so too.
(After hearing all of those, Chaeng almost drop her glass and Lis suddenly stops eating. Jisoo suddenly became serious. The boys wonder why the girls are acting very strange until Jisoo answers them.)
Jisoo: Ahh...the thing is... ahm...yeah...(Jay can sense that something is wrong and this is making the girls more nervous. He then suddenly thought about the thing they can't tell them before so the boys are expecting that maybe this time the girls will tell them now. Jay's mind be like Is it something related to Jennie by chance?) Jennie...ahh Jennie will come back soon.
Song: When is that Jisoo-ya?
Jisoo: Ahhmm...
Chaeng: It won't be long oppa...
Lisa: Yeah...she'll be okay soon...
Jay: (He's very sure that there really is something going on so he can't take it but to ask it) Is there something wrong?...Jisoo-ya.. (With that question of Jay, the girls became so nervous and avoids eye contact with the boys. Lisa and Chaeng can't help it but to start tearing up.)
Bobby: Look at me in the eye Jisoo-ya, don't worry we're here.
BI: We'll listen to you noona.
Jisoo: (The girls are talking through their eyes.) The thing is that...(holding back her tears) Jennie... Jennie is still getting her treatment... I mean treatment for her depression so it might take a little longer before she can come back here...ani.. oppa to be honest...(tears just started flowing down her cheeks)...we are not sure if she will come back or not... we talked to sajangnim about this but even he was not sure if Jennie will come back or not.
Jay: (in his mind So this is why they are so down. To cheer the girls up...) Don't say that. She will come back soon.
Song: Yeah, and you just said she's still getting her treatment so that means she'll be okay soon.
Bobby: She will come back, she's a strong girl. Don't worry.

(BI is so out of word because he just can't take what he just heard. Guilt is still eating him up. He was left dumbfounded by what just Jisoo said and the words "we are not sure if she will come back or not" keeps on repeating on his mind. He's afraid now that Jennie might really not come back and he might not see her for good. He holding onto Jay's jacket so hard. Jay knew that there's something wrong with him so he excused himself and BI to talk to him outside.)
