CHAPTER 63

(5 days before the 2nd meeting with ChuLiChaeng, Jennie arrived at Korea. She and her manager decided to head straight to the YG Entertainment office, to be exact, at the YG CEO’s office.)

Manager: Anneonghaseyo sajangnim! Say Hi to our CEO Jennie-ya!
Jennie: Anneonghaseyo………. sajangnim!
CEO: Oh Jennie, how are you? Are you okay now? Do you know me?
Jennie: You’re our CEO, and yes I’m fine sajangnim. Thankyou for asking.

(The manager explained everything to the CEO of Jennie’s sudden decision to come back here in Korea and everything, including her present situation- that she’s still looking for her other memories that she believed it’ll be in here.)

CEO: That’s not a problem then. Jennie-ya, don’t worry you’ll soon remember everything.
Jennie: Thankyou so much sajangnim. I heard that I was a trainee in here? I know this is so rude for me to ask but am I not kicked out yet?
CEO: (Both the manager and the CEO begin to laugh out loud.) Who say’s that? Of course you’re still our trainee. It’ll be our lost if we’d let go a young and talented trainee like you.
Jennie: (She can’t believe what she just heard but still she’s confused) But sajangnim, I heard also that I was out or I was away for a year ‘cause I got into an accident and worse is lost my memories, aren’t those enough reason for me to be kicked out?
CEO: (Deep inside him, he’s also worried that the other executives might find out about her accident.) It’s true that those are enough reason for a trainee to be kicked out but….(in his mind, we’re the only family left for you, we can’t just leave you alone, and also I once promised your late mom that I will be looking for you in her place.)
Jennie: But?
CEO: (Begin to tease Jennie) but if you want to be kicked out then tell me right now so I can process the papers of your termination.
Jennie: NO sajangnim!!! I’m just you know, I’m just confused and I still have a long way to go before I get all my memories back and I believe that all of that last missing pieces are in here. I’m very sorry to offend you sajangnim, I did not meant that way.
CEO: It’s okay, I understand. And as I was saying, you being a trainee at my company is a big thing for us, thankyou for coming back. In behalf of all our staffs, I welcome you Jennie Kim.
Jennie: Thankyou so much for your kind heart sajangnim. I think I know now why I choose YG Entertainment before. You said I’m a trainee sajangnim, I also heard about oppa, I mean managernim that I am also a part of the debut team? Am I still a part of it sajangnim? Or should I continue to be a trainee until I remember everything?
CEO: Unfortunately, your team, or the debut team is on hiatus for now, that means your debut was cancelled. Yes, you heard me right, your debut, meaning you are still a member of the debut team. Speaking of the debut team, should I call your members now?
Jennie: Once again, thankyou sajangnim for all of this. To be honest, I came back in here without expecting anything but to just get my memories back but here I am, being blessed by your kind heart. Regarding my members, I wanted to meet them as soon as possible but I wanted to get your permission first.
CEO: (He’s actually happy to see Jennie being this positive and open minded regarding her situation.) Since you’ve said that, let’s have some fun shall we?
Jennie: Ne? (The CEO then told her his plan. He’ll be meeting the other members tomorrow and let them decide whether they wanted to debut now without her or just continue training until she comes back. Actually, they’re going pull a prank to the other members of BLACKPINK, and that idea was no other that the YG Entertainment CEO’s.)
