Mackenzie's P.O.V

I walked home from the cafe. It was kind of late I mean no one would care if something happened to me.

The neighborhood was dark. The lights we had our broken. And the government never fixed them.

When I looked at my phone I had 3% left. Oh gosh. I just need to check the time.

It's now 8:30 P.M. I had to stay late today because one of the chefs is out of town. Yay! Lucky me. Yeah I get the extra cash. But like I have so much to work on for college.

I'm about 5 minutes away from home. When I noticed John's car. Oh my gosh!! I forgot!!

I ran so fast I'm probably going to fall.

When he saw me he looked up. He looked relieved?

"Kenz you scared the crap out of me. I thought something happened to you and I wouldn't live with mysel-"

I cut him off by placing my lips on his. When he realized what I was doing he returned the favor. I could get used to this all day.

He smiled through the kiss making me smile.

When he pulled away he looked at me still smiling.

"Thank you " I whispered.

"For what?" He asked confused.

"For caring about me." I stated.

"Anytime" He whispered right before he kissed me again.

"Kenz?" He asked me while we were cuddling in bed.

"Yeah?" I asked as I looked up to him.

"Would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow?" He asked me.

I smiled and nodded. "I'd love to"
