I drove home by myself, pausing to consider the sparks between Katie and I. I had thought I'd left past feelings behind, only to find that I'd never been further from the truth. That kiss just left me reconsidering every past moment, every past memory. My thoughts were dampened, however, by the thought of Cameron. When she walked in and saw him standing there, her face had lit up. It was obvious that they shared an intimacy in which she found comfort. Why did I feel as if she'd never open up to me in that way?
