Nova went back to her house and sat down on her bed. She didn't know what to think. She didn't know what to do. She cried herself to sleep that night.

She woke up and decided to see the one person who could help her. Hiemdall. She made her way to the Bifrost and sure enough he was waiting for her.
  "Nova, its been a while."
"Indeed it has. I don't know what to do anymore. Ive hurt everyone I loved except you."
  "I understand."
"What should I do?" She needed some advice, badly.
"Take a break from here for a while. Explore another realm."
She couldn't believe what she was hearing. He wanted her to go somewhere else? Wouldn't that put more people at risk? She was about to call him crazy when she realized that he knew and could see everything.
  "Which one?"
"Which would you be interested in? There are nine to choose from."
That was true. She had always been fascinated by Midgard. She would go there.
"Midgard. I would like to go there."
  "Alright. Are you ready?"
Was she ready? She didn't want to tell the boys or anyone else, she wanted this to be between her and Hiemdall. If she had no goodbyes, then she was as ready as she'd ever be.
  "I'm ready."

He turned the Bifrost sword and they said their goodbyes. They agreed to keep this between them and if anyone asked him, he "couldn't see her." She then walked into the rainbow and left Asgard.

She felt her feet hit the soil. Wherever she was on Earth, there was nobody around, which was good. She walked straight in hopes of finding civilization. She felt as though she had been waking for hours. She decided enough was enough. She knew she couldn't use her magic in the presence of people, but there was nobody around. She decided to first change her outfit. She chose black ripped jeans and a cotton crimson long sleeve shirt. She never wore tee shirts, she had a dark past she wanted to cover up. If she did, she made an illusion that covered her arms. She wore crimson shoes, a Vans type style. She put her hair in a messy bun. At this point, she looked pretty Midgardian. "Wait." she thought. If someone came looking for her, they could tell who she was. She changed everything that was crimson, to yellow, and her jeans to a light wash blue. There, she looked Midgardian now for sure. The then decided where she wanted to live. New York? Too busy. She wanted a nice place where she could stay calm. Hawaii? No, she didn't speak Hawaiian. Maybe San Francisco? "Yes, that is where I'll go," she thought, and off she went.

She arrived in San Francisco as soon as she left, she teleported into an alley where nobody would see her. Looking for housing would be the hard part. She went to every open house that she could, but nothing stood out to her. She thought that San Francisco was a bad choice and began to rethink her options when she got a notification on her new iPhone that she had purchased. It was from her Real Estate agent, he had found another open house. A nice apartment
just outside of the city. She went to go check it out.

The apartment was a good size, not huge but not small either. It had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large, open kitchen and many other rooms and more. This apartment didn't stand out in any way. It was in a nice neighborhood, not far from a school and it was about a half an hour drive from the city. Of course, Nova had no Midgardian money, so she made some. In between looking at houses, she set up a bank account and crafted some bills to put in. Alot of bills. She would pay bills and mortgage and whatnot just like every other human did. She would get a job, go shopping and make some friends. She would get her driver's licence too. This wouldn't have her real name on it though. She needed a name that wasn't obvious. Nothing too common but nothing too crazy either. She loved her name but she needed to change it to something not even close. Callie? No she didn't look like a Callie. Raina? That was nice but it was really unique. Maybe. She had no idea but she needed to think fast. After a while, she finally decided on a name she thought was fit for her. Vanessa Thompson. She had no idea why she liked that name but she felt that it was cute and not too out there.

She spent the night at a hotel and returned to the apartment the next morning. She decided she would buy the apartment and that was what she spent the day doing. There were so many papers to sign and things to go over. She couldn't wait to move in! She would go shopping for furniture and decorations and begin her Midgardian life! She was already so much more calm then she usually was on Asgard. Asgard!

She didn't know what to think. Would she ever go back? Hiemdall said she should just visit, but was that what she wanted? What would she have to deal with if she ever came back. Frigga would never let her go anywhere and the boys would be way too clingy for her comfort. She was alone in the real estate office at the moment, so she closed her eyes and when she opened them, her eyes were golden. She could talk to Hiemdall this way.
  "Nova, what is the problem?"
"I can't go back to Asgard. Ever. It would be terrible for me to go back. They'll get used to me being gone after a while."
"You never want to come home?"
"Earth is a great place. I would like to stay here. Please Hiemdall."
"If that's what will make you happy. I'll see you when I see you then dear."
  "Thank you."
It was final. She wasn't going back. Ever. She was very fond of Earth. Of course, Asgard would always be her home, but Midgard would be her new home.

She was moving quickly, she didn't want to take time to get used to Earth. She wanted to jump right into the Midgardian life. The apartment was now hers and she had began to move in. She decided which room would be what and what she needed to buy. She could use her magic and make furniture and everything appear, but Midgardians couldn't do that, so neither could she.

She continued spending the night in a hotel until she was fully moved in. She spent her days shopping and applying at places for a job. Everywhere that had a "hiring" sign she left a resume at. She knew that many would get rejected but it was worth a shot. She spent at least a few hours each day looking for furniture and things for her new home. It was tedious work but she enjoyed it at the same time. She felt truly human. People smiled at her in the stores instead of giving her weird looks. They held doors for her instead of running for cover. She didn't care that she was truly Asgardian. In this moment, she was just a person in the crowd.

She spent her nights in the hotel watching television and working on becoming more human like. She familiarized herself with today's pop culture and current world events. She listened to the music and slang and watched Keeping Up With The Kardashians, "Strange family that is," she always thought to herself. She learned all about the famous people, like Beyonce, One direction and one man in particular. Tony Stark. He was an extremely rich man living in New York who also happened to be a genius. He was dating a woman named Pepper Potts who was absolutely stunning. She admired them both. He was in every magazine, on every channel and plastered all around New York. He wasn't as popular in San Francisco but he was still talked about. Once they sky fell dark, she ended her day with one more episode of KUWTK and drifted off to sleep.

She woke up bright and early the next morning, eager to get her day moving along.  Today she was sure she could finally move into her apartment. She had officially been on Earth for 2 weeks. All she had left to buy was a table for the living room and a couch. She could've moved in already but she wanted too see the finished product before she made it permanent. She had gone with a grey theme in her apartment. Lots of marble and other hues. She went out to Ikea, certain to find just what she was looking for.

After an hour and a half of searching, she left the store with a medium grey couch and a white wood coffee table to finalize the living room. She put it together once she reached the apartment and fell in love with the whole place. Of course, as time would go on she would make the necessary changes but for now she decided it was perfect. She returned to the hotel room and packed her belongings. She left with a suitcase in hand, ready to take on whatever Earth threw at her.
