The mission was a go. When they got to New York we would be ready and waiting for them. The frost giants aren't aware of what I'm capable of, so I'll be a nice surprise. They would be here any day now, everyone had to be ready at all times. All personal events and missions were on hold and everyone stayed at the tower, it was safer. Everyone was armed at all times and security was increased severely. Everyone was on edge, even Thor. I guess he remembers what they're like from when he went to Jötunhiem to confront the frost giants. He almost died but he was ready to fight again. Thor was a fighter, and I loved him for it.

The Avengers were all sitting around in the living room, silently. Everyone was scared and everyone had a reason to be. They were aggressive, intimidating and violent. They wanted Loki and I, they wouldn't stop until they got us. Tony turned around to look out the window,
  "EVERYONE DOWN!" They were here.

The group dove to the ground and grabbed their weapons. As we flew to the ground, glass shattered and rained down on us. I got up and was face to face with one of the blue monsters. I stared into its red eyes and then picked it up with my powers, threw it out the window and jumped out myself.
"NOVA NO!" someone yelled. Obviously I wasn't going to listen, they didn't know what these monsters could do. They needed to be taken care of as soon as they got here.

It crashed on to the ground, I landed and rolled, jumping right back on to my feet. I looked around quickly, I needed to analyze my surroundings before I hurt too many civilians. Nobody in plain sight, my plan was a go. The frost giants kind of started surrounding me, I needed to stop this before it began. I raised my fists to slam them into the ground, knocking them all back like Thor did with mjölnir. I stood up and was hurled into a building across the street. This might be harder than I thought. I got up and teleported back to them. They were climbing the side of Stark Tower, I pulled them down with my magic and just let them fall to the ground. Did I want to kill them? No. Was I planning on it? Of course. They'd come back, time after time if someone didn't. I kept fighting them back but they were getting plenty of hits in on me as well. I needed backup.

I was surrounded, helpless in this moment. I tried putting up a forcefield but they were too close and it couldn't form. I needed to fight my way out of this one. Just like Natasha and I trained, no weapons, no powers. Just me and my hands against the big blue snowmen. After trying to fight my way out of it, I quickly came to a realization that it was not going to cut it. Time to bring the powers back out. I used my magic to lift them off of me, one by one. My chest seared with pain when I tried to get up, great. It took alot to hurt me, and I think they did just that. I got up, fighting the pain and started flinging magic everywhere. If it hit them, perfect, if it didn't, well that's fine I guess. I didn't realize how many of these there were. I took down quite a few, but the big ones weren't going anywhere. Where were the others? What were they doing? Watching? Red magic flew through the air, suddenly joined by blue.

There was a large thud near me, causing the giants to look over and take their attention off of me. I took the chance and rolled out from under them and jumped up to see what happened. It was Thor. He was mad. His eyes glowed a bright blue and he sparked with electricity. He threw his hammer to the ground casing all of the remaining frost giants to fall backwards. Thor made eye contact with me for a brief moment, and that told me that we could do this together. Just him and I.

I took down about half of them, but the smaller ones. The bigger, scarier ones were still hanging on. Thor took a few out with just a few hits of his hammer. The others made their way down and started doing their thing against them too. Tony was blasting them with his crazy Iron Man suit, Clint was shooting arrows at them, Natasha had her guns, Cap had his shield and Banner? Well Banner was green and angry.

They didn't last much longer after the crew joined in. Bullets and arrows flew past my head, just missing me by a hair. I fought my hardest, lives other than my friends' depended on this fight. I had to come out on top. I was doing fine, giving a frost giant a beating when suddenly everything went black.

For a good minute or so, I kept slipping in and out of conciseness and I couldn't tell what was going on. I could hear yelling and crashing but I couldn't remember where I was or what was happening. Finally I fought through it and woke up, only to be kicked in the head by one of them, sending me back to square one.

I woke up after what felt like seconds later, but everything was calm. No bullets. No arrows. No flying cars. It was oddly quiet for such a fight. I tried sitting up but was forced back down to the ground when I felt an insane pain in my.... everywhere. My ribs, my head, my arms, my legs. Shooting pains flew through my body, what on earth happened?  I sat up after trying for a good minute or so and looked around. The other Avengers were all standing over me. Great.
  "So, what happened?"
"One of the snowmen threw a whole car at you then jumped on you and just overall beat the crap out of you." Natasha answered.
"That's... nice. So all done here?"
"All done here. Nice job Nova."
  "Thanks, you too."

The next day or so we all spent resting. I was in the hospital for a week, broken ribs, a broken arm and a broken leg along with a major concussion. After we were all healed up, it was time to celebrate our win, my first win on the team.... officially of course. We headed down to a shawarma place down the street from the site of the fight. I never had it before, but it was really good. We spent the rest of the night laughing and celebrating our win, it was really nice.
