SHAMELESS

During the movie she fell asleep. Damian did too for a brief moment and looked down at her. Valarie's head resting against his chest and a little part of him smiled. She was peacefully asleep.

Grabbing his phone from his back pocket he looked at the time.

"1:20am." It read and he rubbed his eyes looking at the missed call he had gotten from Dick 10 minutes ago.

Setting his phone on the table he picked up Valarie as her head still rested on his chest and her arm around his neck. Walking up the steps, Damian opened the door to her bedroom and placed her onto her bed. Valarie moved a bit and opened her eyes for a moment and smiled at him.

"Goodnight." She managed to say yawing then curling back up inside the covers. Damian folded his lips and smiled at her.

"Night." He whispers then heading towards the door.

When Damian walked through the door of his house, Dick was sitting at the table while Jacklyn was eating cereal.

"Where were you?" She asks swallowing a mouthful of cereal.

"Out." He replies grabbing a glass of water from the fridge.

Dick smirks and so does Jacklyn after finishing her bowl of cereal. 

"Wow, what a great answer." says Dick sarcastically.

"I am not obligated to tell you of my where abouts." Damian says after drinking his glass of water.

"Well, just be prepared. Bruce is going to ask anyway." Jacklyn replies, placing her bowl in the sink.

Damian scoffed and leaned against the wall looking at the two.

"So, whats going on?" He asks expecting an answer seeing how they all knew of Jacklyn condition. "I thought you said you needed time to think."

"I did. My father is going to help me come up with a permanent solution." Jacklyn replied.

"So the witch boy knows?" Damian mumbles with a sarcastic laugh. "How stupid can you be." He comments harshly.

"Calm down Damian." Dick says seeing his face tighten

"No. Her definition of permanent and mine are completely different. You're so selfish and ignorant!" He begins to yell.

"Damian. This isn't a discussion. My father found a way for all of us to win. And it will come at a price I'm willing to take. I'd rather you hate me for the rest of my life than to see you die. All of you die." She wrapped her arms around him and said, "You're like my brother Damian. I don't want to see you get hurt. Do you understand that?"

Damian pushed her off of him and glared. "An abortion is not a solution. You're a martyr Jack and I'll be confound if I ever look at you the same after you do this. Jason will to."

"Damian, I'm not getting an abortion." Jacklyn says making him turn towards her. "There is a way for me to have them but it comes at a price I'm hoping you will forgive me for."

"Why didn't you just say that." Damian replied.

"It's still...it's hard for me to actually think I can, that's all."

Dick stood to his feet and ran his fingers through his hair. "Bruce wants me to go over some things with you." He say pointing to Damian.

''About what?"

"Valarie. Their are some things we must discuss."

"Fine." He nodded

"I'm off to the library. I'll see you both in the morning." Jack says then disappearing in her smoke.
