The multi purpose room is flooded with tons of teenagers, not just teenagers, artists. I feel like I'm at the right place. I don't feel nervous, just happy.
My mom and dad lead me to a seat and everyone begins to sit down when two women walk onto the stage.
There's a woman in a dress suit who begins speaking and and a middle aged woman next to her is signing! Is she the principal?
But then my eye catches when the signing woman signs that she is the writing teacher! Oh my god! She's gonna be my writing teacher! I hit the jackpot! Her name is Christina Sayers. Oh God this is amazing!
I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to see an innocent looking girl.
I read her lips as she asks to sit next to me. I nod, and she scoots next to me.
I notice she says something to me really fast.
"Sorry?" I ask.
I read her lips again, slowly, and I finally understand what she said.
My name is Anna Jenkins, what's your name?
"I'm Kyra Trey. It's nice to meet you Anna."
