My vision is hazy. Oh man my ears are murdering me, like they were stabbed by knives... oh yeah, they sorta were!
Everything seems so quiet right now, did it work? I try humming but nothing. It didn't work.
I look up to see a familiar face, my doctor, Dr. Zhang.
I read his lips, he says the surgery worked very well and that I'm going to need a week to heal, then come back in so I can finally hear!
I slip my clothes back on and get wheeled out into the hallway. I see so many familiar faces from my family, but where's the rest of my family? Ms. Sayers, Shane and Anna?
"Hi baby, how are you feeling?" my mom signs.
"I'm fine, where's Shane? Anna? Ms. Sayers?" I respond.
My dad's lips respond that they went home and are going to be here next week when I'm activated.
I hope it comes soon. It looks like I didn't escape my world of silence yet.
