"Let me get this strait, Kyra's trying to hear again, but the surgery is oh my God expensive. So you wanna form a secret fundraiser to help her get the money for the surgery?" I ask Shane on the phone.
"Yeah. When I saw her, she seemed pretty torn up. I wanted to ask if you're in cause you love Kyra, she helped you prepare for the dance." He responds. He's right. Kyra did help me with the dance, because of her, Ms. Marcus finally takes me seriously. I will help my friend, my one and only.
"I'm in!"
"Really, oh Anna thank you! But remember that Kyra can't find out about it. It's a surprise." He breathes.
"You got it. Are you gonna speak to Ms. Sayers?" I ask.
"I did, she's in. We meet with Principal Jefferson tomorrow."
"Sounds like a plan."
"Thank you Anna, you really have a kind heart. I know that's what Kyra loves about you. She's lucky to hand you as her friend."
