Shane
I think I'm kinda starting to really like Kyra. Ever since that day last week, Kyra, Anna and I have been inseperable. It's crazy cause I barely know them, but I feel like I can relate to them in a way.
I see Kyra exiting her History class. I wanna ask her out on a date. I wanna get to know her better. Anna's an open-book, but Kyra never really told me about herself. How she became deaf, or why she came to school here. What was her life like before she came here?
"Hi." a voice whispers. I look up and it's Kyra.
"Hey Kyra. Hey, I have something to ask you." I say.
"Sure. What's up?"
"Look, there's this girl I really like, and I wanna ask her out on a date. But I'm not sure how to ask her." I say. She looks at me wide eyed, probably oblivious to the fact that it's her I like.
"Practice on me." she responds.
"Okay." I move in front of Kyra so our eyes pierce into each other.
"Hey. I was wondering, if you would like to go out on a date with me?"
"I would love too." she giggles.
"Awesome! Wanna go to Little Henry's tomorrow night?"
"Yeah. I love Little Henry's!" Kyra squeals. It amazes me how she sounds like she's a hearing girl, and not a deaf girl. She told me that she had lots of therapy, and reads a lot. What a girl.
"Really?"
"Yeah. I mean I'm being serious, I'm not acting now." she laughs.
"That's awesome! I'll see you tomorrow night at 7:30, Kyra." I say as the final bell rings.
"Wait, what?"
I give her a mischevious grin.
"Shane, am I the one you wanna ask out?" she gasps.
"Maybe!" I say as I leave the building to walk home and enjoy my weekened. Can't wait for tomorrow night!
