Today is your moving day towards Britain. Of course you have told your parents and friends a few weeks ago about the moving to another country part so they know and it almost started another fight again. Even with your best friend! She thought you were crazy for doing this but you're good now and she has accepted it. What could she do to stop it? Exactly, absolutely nothing!

'You're here! Welcome back, darling!' Tom is at his front door while you stand there, a few of your suitcases behind you and a printed e-mail with the information that the rest of your things has been shipped and will arrive somewhere this week. It will even be delivered to Tom's home address. How wonderful! The only thing left to do, is to make you an official citizen of Britain. You now have a visa for a couple of months but you want to stay here so you need to integrate. Pass a test and get a British passport. Tom went out book shopping during the time you were back at your own country to help you study.

'How was your flight?' He asks as he helps you getting inside and he also grabs your luggage. 'It was great! But I am on the verge of being denied. They are asking me questions about my pregnancy. I'm thirty weeks pregnant now and in five weeks, I can't step on planes anymore.' Too dangerous, blah blah blah. You've heard it all before and they are right because it is, in fact, too dangerous. But being told that every damn time is highly frustrating. 'But what if people are interested in my apartment? It's for sale now but it's too exhausting for me to travel back and forth. My parents will do the tours etc. But actually selling it has to be me.' You say but then something hits you. 'Or someone that I live with.' You look at him from under your eyelashes. 'I will go. Don't worry about it for now. You should worry about passing the test.' He's right. 'Yes. Tell me, what do I need to know?' He starts laughing and shows you the book. 'This is the book you need to memorize. I have no clue what they're going to ask because I never made the test. I was born and raised in London.' You smile and sigh. 'Right. Well, is there someone I could ask so I can be prepared?' He shrugs while shaking his head. 'You could consult the internet.' That's a smart idea. 'Ok, I will do that.' You wrap your arms aroud his neck and pull him in for a kiss. 'But first, could you make me a cup of tea please?' You ask tenderly and he nods. 'Sure. Let's do your luggage later, ok?' Sounds like music to your ears!

A groan leaves your lips as you finally sit down on a comfortable surface. 'They need to do something about plane seats. Normally they are rather comfortable but they are not when you're pregnant.' It makes Tom chuckle and of course he has something witty to say about it. 'I wouldn't know about that, love.' You look at him and see the smirk on his lips. 'Watch it, babe. I will come for you when you least expect it.' It's not a serious threat and he knows that but he knows he's on thin ice now. The beep from the kettle snaps you out of your little stare down with him and he quickly rises to get you and himself a nice hot cup of tea.

'Is there going to be a question about the flag of Britain? Because I feel like you have two flags. Red white and red white blue. I once paid a visit toWikipedia because I was curious and what did I find? The red white is England, the blue is Scotland and then you also have a red white flag with a different cross on it and that is supposed to be Ireland? I had no idea! And that forms the United Kingdom. It's so confusing to me but I do find it interesting! And what else caught my attention is that Ireland has a different flag on its own so I'm not entirely sure how that is connected. But hey, perhaps it's in the book I have to learn from.' And the longer you live here, you're probably are going to learn more. 'Yes, I know. I loved history back in school but I genuinely don't know about that anymore.' You chuckle and grab your tea cup from the table. You think about all the things you want to do now that you live here. After you pass the test, you want to start on your drivers licence here. The one you have now isn't valid anymore. And after that, focus on becoming a parent. All the other things will wait for you. You just need to give it time and don't rush it all.

You're done unpacking. Finally. It was a lot and Tom helped you but you're finally done. It's not an easy task when you're expecting so you are tired now. Thankfully it's at a time where England is starting to get ready for bed so might as well join. Some people may find it still early, like Tom, but you need to rest your eyes for a minute. Or you know, for a night. 'Alright, sweetheart. We'll see in the morning about everything else.' He kisses you and watches you get ready for bed. 'Goodnight, Tom.' You smile at him and give him one more kiss. 'Goodnight, darling.' He flips the light switch and closes the door while you wrap yourself in the blankets and fall asleep rather fast in your new home.
