You wake up the next day with sore eyes from all the crying you did last night. You rub your face softly before sitting up straight in the bed and lean your back against the headboard. The events of yesterday are coming back piece by piece and before you know it, you're crying again.
You're still torn between decisions. You do have decided to not remove the baby. It's just too wrong and you can't find it in your heart to do it. However, that does leave two more options open. Adoption or keeping the baby.
To find an answer that is right in your eyes you need to do a few things. One, tell the father of the child. Obviously. Two, tell your parents because they need to know. And three, tell your best friend. She knows all about the highly unrealistic hook up that you got going on but when you'll tell her about an accidental pregnancy, she's going to scream. Literally.
It's around noon when you ring the bell at your parent's house. You can't keep this hidden from them, it will only cause more trouble than the one you're already in. Your mother opens the door, smiling ear to ear when she sees you. 'Darling! Get in!' She hugs you and calls your father to come downstairs. 'It's {y/n}' She adds what makes her father come down quickly to greet you. 'Would you like a cup of coffee or tea?' Your mother asks you and you nod, telling her your choice. You follow her into the kitchen and you two talk about the regular things. It's not like much time has passed since your last visit but your parents always get overexcited when you or one of your siblings come home. 'A little birdy told me you are seeing someone? How come we don't know about that?' Your mother says, a disappointed look into her eyes. 'Mom, how do you know? I was going to tell you but I was wondering how serious it would get' She smirks and gives you your drink. 'According to Paula, things heated up at the front door' Oh crap.. Paula has seen you and Tom? Paula was your neighbour when growing up and you had no idea your mom still talks to her or that she was even close by. 'Yes and she also told me that it's a very cute guy. He has the looks of a moviestar. At least, that's what she told me' You're only getting deeper and deeper into this mess. Now you get the phrase to never meet your heroes although in your case, it's a little bit different than the actual meaning of it.
You're having a wonderful time with your folks, telling them all about Tom. You're just leaving out that he's famous and that he's starring in the movies you adored during your teenage years and now still. 'He sounds lovely' Your mother says and your father agrees. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and the mood is swiftly flipped over when you get all serious with something to tell them. 'He is lovely, he really is and I hope we're taking it up a notch soon but we.. you know.. slept together and I figured out yesterday that I am pregnant' You're afraid to look at their faces when you tell them the news. The silence is already enough for you.. You just know what they're thinking. 'She just couldn't keep her legs shut, foolish girl. A disgrace! Having a baby without getting married first'. You're sure that you will be disowned after this and when you look up to meet your parent's gaze, all you see is their cold glares at you. 'My little girl' Your mother has tears in her eyes and the disappointment is radiating off it. 'How could you do this to yourself? A baby? You're not ready to raise a child! You're barely managing it on your own!' Your father exclaims angrily but you stop him right there. Offended and heartbroken, although prepared, you stand up. 'Barely managing it on my own? Excuse you, dad! I'm working my butt off every week so I can provide for myself and yes, it's going to be tricky but I'm not in financial trouble! This child is unplanned, I'm very aware of that and although I was prepared for an answer like this.. It doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt! You're my parents for crying out loud! You should be here for me, telling me that you'll be here for me and the baby..' Your voice cracks at the last part of your sentence. It's quiet for a few minutes, only cold and angry glares are exchanged between you and your folks. 'Honey' Your mother begins but your father stops her.
'I think you should go..' His eyes have no emotion whatsoever and it breaks your heart in tiny little pieces. 'It was a mistake coming here' You whisper before grabbing your bag and leaving your parental house.
Back home you slam the door shut, not caring about the neighbours for now. You back yourself against the door and lower yourself until you're sitting on the ground with your knees against your chest and your arms wrapped around them. Heavy sobs are leaving your mouth and your shoulders are shaking every time you inhale. Like you said, you were prepared but that's one thing parents are for. To make you feel better, to be there for you in times of need. Not to tell you to leave after giving them the news of becoming grandparents. A part of you hopes that they come after you, to hold you and to tell you that they are sorry but that's not who they are. For as far as you know, you fucked it up with them. This really scares you to tell Tom. What if he has the same reaction as they? Could you handle any more heartbreak?
But you have to... It's his child too.{A/N} Thank you for reading! I really hope I didn't offend anyone with this chapter.. I don't know about some of your home situations and I certainly don't have the intention of hurting one of you with it. It seemed like a good start for some drama in the story! Please leave a comment about what you think you should do in the story (:
