[04] Scared

Jade stood beside Wanda as she was manipulating civilians' minds to get them to evacuate their homes. "Go! Get out of here!" Jade ordered civilians, waving her hand to get them to follow the direction of everyone else.

Wanda would look over her shoulder now and then to see if Jade was still there beside her. People would stare at Jade with a strange look but kept running in the order direction.

Someone not too far away from the two let out a petrified scream, and Jade shared an uneasy look with Wanda. "Why did someone scream?"

Before Jade could reply, a silver figure flew over them. Her eyes widened. "Oh, god."

Her attention moved to the concrete ground of the bridge as one climbed out of the hard ground. Jade's laser bo staff generated in her left hand, and she whacked a robot in the head. She swung her staff at another robot, like a baseball bat.

Wanda blasted any robot engaging closer to the two girls while Jade took care of stragglers that came up from behind them. The ground started to crack in half, and Jade tackled them away from the crack. Wanda looked back as an innocent person fell as he was running away. Wanda breathed heavily as she glanced at Jade. "Is there an earthquake happening, or is this a part of Ultron's plan?"

Jade shrugged her shoulders as she moved her gaze around to make sure everyone else was away from the massive crack. "Sir, Mr. Stark?" Jade questioned as she pressed a finger to her earpiece. "What's happening?"

"Friday?" Tony asked when he didn't know what was really happening.

"Sokovia is going for a ride," she replied, slowly and dramatically.

Jade and Wanda shared worried glances. Jade swallowed, slowly standing up as she watched buildings crumbled down. The ground tore apart, and civilians were staring up at their homes being destroyed right in front of them and their friends and family falling to an abyss. "This is all my fault," Jade whispered under her breath.

"You were controlled, люблю," Wanda reassured, gripping Jade's hand with gentleness. "If anything, it was mine and Pietro's."

Jade tensed up at Wanda's grip and slowly removed her hand from hers. "It'd be best if we get to the bridge."

Wanda slightly frowned in hurt at Jade's reaction when she grabbed her hand but nodded nonetheless. "Lead the way."

Something gripped Jade's ankle, pulling her down hard. She groaned, looking over her shoulder. She spotted numerous amounts of Ultron bots crawling out from under the ground and climbing up the side of the bridge; she and Wanda arrived to help out Clint. Her mouth gaped open. "Crap."

She kicked the robot in the head, making it let go of her. Heat rays shot out of her amber eyes, the bot melting right in front of her. Jade quickly ran over to a bunch of bystanders as two robots blasted at them. She pushed them back to get them out of the way.

"Get off the bridge!" Wanda ordered to the civilians. Jade looked forward, spotting Wanda pushing them back and standing in front of them protectively before creating a shield, blocking the blasts from the robots. "Run!"

A blast had hit her harder, causing her to be knocked back. She turned her body to where she collided on the ground, face first. Jade rushed by her side, creating her force field, blocking the blasts. She ran at the robots, keeping the shield up before attacking them with bullets from her built-in gun on the wrist of her catsuit. Jade jumped up like a plank, slamming her heeled boots against the side of one's head. The other one snatched her ponytail, throwing her off the bridge. Her amber eyes widened when she saw the city flying.
