The next morning, Wanda had woken up when the autumn sunlight shone through the upper windows. She inhaled softly, catching a scent that she had become addicted to. She grinned when she turned her head to the side, spotting Jade curled up under the covers right beside her. Jade's lips were slightly parted open as small little snores slipped through. It was the first night that Jade had slept peacefully without waking up in the middle of the night screaming from a haunting nightmare.

Wanda reached for her phone that was lying on the bedside table, checking the time. It was only 8:30 in the morning. She knew that Steve wanted Jade to do some inside tasks like she wished to do instead of on-field missions. One that really needed to be taken care of was organising all of the mission reports. Agent Forty-Four had requested some help, so Steve gave Jade that position.

Wanda shrugged her shoulders at the thought. She didn't want to wake Jade up. The younger girl needed the much-needed sleep. Steve would knock on the door, asking for Jade anyways. She figured that she could spare Jade fifteen or twenty more minutes.

Wanda scooted closer, draping an arm over Jade's waist. She nuzzled her nose against Jade's neck as she breathed in her scent, a floral scent with a delicate undertone of berry. "There's a lot of people's opinions that I think about constantly," Wanda whispered. "They judge me every day, and it does affect me, but the only opinions and judgment that I really care about are yours. You could tell me that you're afraid of me and that could kill me in a heartbeat. . .that's how much you mean to me." Wanda rubbed her thumb across Jade's hips, sighing in content. "Take my heart and put yourself in it because my heart, my mind, my body, my soul. . .my everything is yours."

Wanda smiled. "I can move things with my mind, manipulate others' thoughts, and I could probably kill a mortal within a blink of an eye. But something in her makes me gentle. It makes me strong. It makes me confident. It makes me happy to be alive even when I lost my home and my family. She completes me. So here's the thing, God. . .if you're really up there, listening, I know I've done bad things in the past, and you and I got some issues, but right now, I want to thank you. Thank you for leading me to her. Thank you for letting her stay."

Jade had smiled in her half-asleep state. Wanda felt Jade's lips curl upwards against her hair, and she pulled back slightly as she studied the Italian girl's face. "I don't think I will ever say that I'm afraid of you," Jade had tiredly mumbled out, hugging Wanda's warm body closer to her. "You aren't a monster. You never were, and you never will be. So that you know, I'm thankful for you too."

Wanda's heart clenched with a strong emotion of joy. She couldn't help the lopsided grin that was plastered across her face. "You're my beautiful angel, Princesa."

Jade's eyes fluttered open; the amber was a lot brighter than usual. A blush present on her cheeks. She had heard Wanda call her that. "You're throwing all of these endearment nicknames at me, yet, I don't have one for you."

Wanda chuckled, laying a hand on Jade's cheek, stroking it with tenderness. "If it counts, your alter ego constantly called me Small Fry or a Witch."

Jade scrunched up her nose, and Wanda had an urge to kiss it, but she controlled herself. "You aren't a witch, Wanda. Another thing she was wrong about."

Wanda smiled, shifting her body, so she was on top of Jade. She hovered over her, not wanting to squish her. "Yeah? And what else was she wrong about?"

"She told you that if Mr. Stark did ever fix me and I was finally able to revive my whole conscience, I would never return your feelings," Jade explained with a small smile. "She was wrong because I do. I don't care that you couldn't save me back in HYDRA; you tried. And if Nightshade hates you, then that's her problem because I know that I don't."
