Tony, Jade, Thor, and Steve walked through a corridor of the new Avengers' facility in upstate New York, away from civilians and buildings. It was a nice place, better than the older tower. The tower was being in the process of being remodeled since Ultron did practically destroyed it.
After the whole battle in Sokovia, none of them have been in contact with Bruce. Fury had been still trying to track Bruce. Wanda stayed quiet, not having any conversations with any of the Avengers since she was still trying to cope with her twin brother's death, and Steve completely understood. She'll need time. The only person she wanted to talk to her was Jade, but the Italian girl kept her distance, thinking that Wanda wanted to be alone. Besides, Jade and Tony had been in the lab doing constant tests on the bionic soldier.
Tony even made Jade and Wanda new suits. Jade's was similar to her HYDRA one, except it didn't have the HYDRA symbol embroidered on the shoulder sides and it didn't have strapped restraints. Tony even added a touch screen watch on the right wrist, so she had a more efficient grappling because he had seen Jade being tossed off the side of the bridge by one of the Ultron bots. If it weren't for Wanda, Jade would've probably gotten severely injured or likely would be dead.
Tony also made a dark hooded cloak for her so she could easily sneak around in the shadows. He thought it would be better than the creepy HYDRA bunny mask that she would always wear on missions.
"The rules have changed," Steve stated, matter-of-factly.
"We're dealing with something new," Tony said.
"Well, the Vision's artificial intelligence," Steve corrected.
"A machine."
"So it doesn't count."
"No. It's not, like, a person lifting the hammer."
Steve smirked, gesturing to Tony and himself. "Right. Different rules for us."
"Nice guy. But artificial."
"Thank you."
"If he can wield the hammer, he can keep the Mind Stone," Thor interjected into their conversation from the other side of Tony.
Steve hoped he was right, that the Mind Stone was in safe hands with the Vision. With it being an Infinity Stone like Thor said, he started to get the vibe that if any of the six stones fell into the wrong hands it'll be catastrophic.
"I don't understand," Jade said, tilting her head. "It's a hammer. How can you not lift it?" She asked, vaguely curious.
Tony and Steve both looked down at her before making eye contact with each other. They smirked in sync. "You're half artificial. You should try to lift it. Plus, you have super strength as an ability. You would have to be able to lift it with ease."
Thor extended his arm out, offering for her to grasp it. Jade shrugged her shoulders, wrapping her fingers around the handle, just below Thor's hand. He let go, and Jade kept it upright, tilting it side to side. "Huh, I thought it'd be heavier."
Tony and Steve gaped at her, while Thor nodded in approval with a small smile on his face. Thor patted Tony's bicep. "Looks like your daughter is worthier than you, Stark."
