Three Years Later and Jade Stark Still Reportedly Missing!

Today marks three years of seventeen-year-old Jade Stark, who disappeared in the beginning of May 2012 after the attack on New York at the age of fourteen.

She is still currently missing, according to the Associated Press, CBS News and Fox News. State investigators are holding a press conference tomorrow afternoon about the three-year long case.

Stark, who was set to be graduating her online college courses, majoring in Cyber Security, was last seen alive the morning of May 7th, 2012 while working in Stark Tower's lab, where she lived with her father, Tony Stark, authorities have said. She was spotted in the lab by Happy Hogan when he went in to check on her.

Then Stark disappeared.

Hogan and everyone in the building were possible suspects early on in the investigation. But were cleared later on when investigators found Jade's room a mess as if she was attacked. The windows were shattered and investigators immediately thought that the attacker threw her out the window down all six stories, but there were no proof of evidence of a murder in the proximity.

Ethan Aarons, who was best friends with Jade when they were children, was on question, but was disregarded when found out that he and his family were on a family trip in Key West, Florida.

Father Tony Stark called the mystery around what happened to his daughter "excruciating."
"[There are] no words to describe how you feel when you don't know where or how your child is," he said in an interview with ABC News.

Hundreds of people helped search for Jade in the days after she disappeared, while local authorities said they remained baffled by what could be the longest such missing-persons case in the country in recent memory. This missing-persons case has been going on for three years.

A reward fund for information leading to her safe return broke records in New York as hundreds of thousands of dollars poured in.
Jade's story also attracted wide notice on social media, with celebrities sharing information about her.

"She really does not have a single personal enemy — everybody loves Jade," motherly-figure Virgina "Pepper" Potts previously told PEOPLE, describing Jade as always there when she was needed and "always trying to make people laugh."

"I know that Jade knows how much I love her and how important she is to her entire family," father Tony Stark previously told PEOPLE, adding, "I know Jade wants to be home."

What investigators claim on who kidnapped Jade could be any of her father's enemies. In 2010, Ivan Vanko had intentions on killing her, but failed. Other enemies of Tony's that had encountered Jade was Justin Hammer as well as Obadiah Stane, but Stane is deceased. He has committed crimes regarding of murder, torture as well as kidnapping. Investigators believe that Stane may have had an ally commit the crime.

A forensic artist, Joesph Carter, had computerized drawn an image of what Jade Stark would look like today at the age of seventeen. Top picture is Stark at the age of fourteen, the bottom pictures are Carter's prediction on what Jade looks like now:

Tony Stark sat at his desk as he swiped through every data he found related towards his seventeen year old daughter, Jade. His dark brown eyes shifted to the picture frame that held a picture of the two of them during her fourteenth birthday — a week before she went missing. For three years, Tony still had no luck on tracking her down.

He did everything he could think of. He tried facial recognition—got nothing. He had the whole police department search the entire city just for her. He raided all the places that she loved to go. He interrogated the last person she was with: her best friend, Ethan Aarons. The sixteen year old kid swore to Tony that after they hung out in Central Park, he brought her back to Stark Tower then his family flew down to Key West for their family vacation. He even cried during the time he was explaining the truth since Tony held his repulser at the guy's face to make him to talk.

Tony picked up the picture frame, his eyebrows furrowing together as he felt a piece of paper taped to the back. He detached the folded up paper and opened it up.

Dear dad,

I know we've been having issues lately. I just want you to know that no matter what happens that I love you. We been having a lot of misunderstandings and arguments, but every father and daughter does. I get that my dad is a famous philanthropist and he travels around the world constantly because it's his job, but sometimes I think that you forget about me or push me to the side. You know how many times you blew me off? I know you're not use to being a father because mom was raising me most of the time and I know that you're trying. But sometimes I don't think you are.

I love you dad, I really do. I know that it's my birthday, but I made a reservation for us to fly out to Hawaii for this Saturday. The receipt is on the back of this letter. I used up all of the money that I have saved just for

Tony gave off a confused expression when the sentence stopped in mid-sentence. He flipped over the letter and saw the receipt for Hawaii on the back. He sighed, sitting the letter and the receipt down on the desk. "Where are you, sweetheart? Where are you?"
