Getting Peter prepared for the trip to Germany wasn't as bad as Jade had thought it was going to be. She easily tricked Aunt May into believing that there would be a retreat that the Stark Internship was holding and had allowed Peter to come along with her. The problem was that Peter was way too excited and he started filming everything.

Jade thought it was quite funny how irritated Happy became the moment Peter talked in a gravelly voice.

Happy looked into the rearview mirror. "You know you can't show it to anyone."

"Yeah, I know."

"Then why are you narrating in that voice?"

"Uh. . .because it's fun," Peter replied softly.

Happy rolled his eyes. He did not believe that this situation was fun; quite the opposite. He placed his dark sunglasses on and solemnly looked back out the windshield. Jade let out a small laugh from the passenger seat, gazing out the window.

"So, uh, why do they call you Happy?" Peter asked, curious.

Jade turned to Happy with a smirk, placing her chin in the palm of her hand. "Yeah, please tell us why."

Happy sent her a confused look. "I thought you remembered?" He noticed the smirk on her face, earning his eyebrows to furrow deeper. "Or are you just pulling my leg?" He softly smiled. "I can't tell with you."

Jade's smirk faded away. "I don't remember everything. The B.A.R.F. only made me remember the last night I had with Tony. But I remember it. I remember the comfort I had when I was in his presence. I remember seeing Pepper as a mother to me."

Happy sighed, patting her arm. "You'll get there eventually."

"Is there something I'm missing?" Peter interjected from the backseat.

Happy glared at Peter through the rearview mirror before flipping a switch. The limo's partition raised, blocking Peter's view from Jade and Happy.

Jade's lips parted as she stared at Happy with amusement. "I get that he's annoying you, but he's just excited."

"Remind me again why you wanted to bring him along?" He looked at her with a pointed expression. "Does Tony know that you used his lab to create the kid's suit?"

"He was the first person that came to my mind, okay?" Jade admitted, leaning back in her car seat. "Besides, I doubt Wanda would even want to be on Tony's side, disregarding that I'm on the same side. It's clear that Wanda doesn't want to sign the Accords."

Happy sighed deeply before glancing back at Jade with a genuine expression. "You trust this kid?"

Jade slowly nodded. "I see something in him."

"Then that's a clear shot for me," Happy said, chuckling under his breath. "Even when you were little, you barely trusted in anyone. When you did, I was always on board."

"Isn't that what you said about Ethan?" Jade asked, not realising that she had remembered something. "You seemed so reluctant when I brought him over to beg for ice cream."

Happy grinned from ear to ear. "You're like my niece. I'm protective."

Jade fixated her amber eyes onto Happy. "Promise me that you'll go easy on him. He's new to this."

"For you, of course."

When they arrived at the airport, Happy asked for Jade to stay in the car as he jogged around the front of the limo and quickly opened the passenger door for her. It was an order that Tony wanted Happy to continue to do for her ever since Jade was a little girl. But with Jade not liking the "royalty chivalry", she would always find ways to do things independently, causing Happy to plead so he wouldn't hear it from Tony constantly.
