Darik easily landed the HYDRA jet in a field of Manchester. Marcus and Kayrel had worked together to track down the base's location. It was fifty miles out of downtown Manchester. Jade suggested to land on the outskirts of downtown, travelling the rest of the way by foot so if the soldiers were waiting, they wouldn't see them coming.
Jade glanced out the window, noticing that it was sunny and clear out. She shrugged off her long coat, and North gestured her over to where she stood on the other side of the jet. Jade walked over, and North pressed a button as a rack of HYDRA assassin catsuits and uniforms were displayed.
Darik nodded his head at the display. "I know it's HYDRA, but once we get inside, we'll have to blend in." He found his long coat, putting it on over his own HYDRA uniform. North did the same thing.
Jade picked one out as she examined it, her eyes slowly closing as the dark memories of her HYDRA past rushed back. She sighed, reopening her eyes. She tossed Marcus, Kayrel, and Bradley uniforms, turning to the younger DelGordo brother. "Guess you can't get away from HYDRA, Agent Charleston."
Bradley narrowed his eyes at her. "Haha, very funny, Subject JS2."
Kayrel roughly nudged past the two, walking off the jet as a frown was present on her face. Jade narrowed her eyes on the strawberry blonde, confused yet angered at the agent from her new attitude. The Stark girl left Bradley's side, leaving the jet as well.
Marcus moved beside his brother with a teasing grin. "God, brother, what happened between you and Kayrel? You guys used to be great partners."
Bradley shot him a blank look. "Yeah, used to be."
Once the four had changed into their catsuit and uniforms, Darik opened the back hanger, and they filed out. "We'll have to go through the city. Keep your coats on to protect your identity."
Jade flipped on her hood, following behind North and Darik. Marcus, Kayrel, and Bradley both had backpacks filled with ammo chips and different kinds of weapons that they had raided on the jet. This would be the most dangerous mission they had encountered, and they were ready for it. Regular humans going up against groups of enhanced humanoids wasn't going to be easy.
"I feel like I'm a part of Assassin's Creed right now," Bradley commented as he adjusted his hood.
"Makes sense since we're practically dressed like that, and we're doing a secret mission to assassinate bionic soldiers," Marcus retorted, looking back at his younger brother.
The six had reached the city, and Darik turned to the three newcomers. "Be cautious. Subject BB3 could have set multiple soldiers around the perimeter to keep guard for us."
Jade nodded as she kept a lookout for any suspicious activity. If they were to get caught, they'd have to go into a foot chase where innocent bystanders were. If any of them got in the crossfire, it'd be because of them, and the United Kingdom was definitely one of the countries apart of the Sokovian Accords.
Jade reached inside her coat, activating her touchscreen watch as her dark eyes roamed her surroundings. Usually, finding a single person in the midst of a large crowd was a piece of cake for her, but she was searching for enhanced bionic humanoids. They were trained and trained to be unseen.
Marcus pointed at a concentrated Kayrel. "Go, and talk to her," he harshly whispered to his younger brother. "Maybe that's what she wants. And I mean, actually, talk."
Bradley rolled his eyes. "I told you, she hates my guts," he bit back in a harsher whisper. "What's honestly the point?"
"Girls say things all the time they don't mean," Marcus pointed out.
