"Hey dad!" I screamed, running down the hallway and throwing my arms around him.

"Hi, honey. How are you?" He asked, squeezing me so tight I couldn't breathe. It had only been a weekend but my dad was the only family I had and when he wasn't around, I missed him.

"I'm fine, I can't... breathe... dad," I gasped out and he released me, grinning until he caught sight of my face.

"Ella, honey what happened to you?" He gasped, holding my chin in his hands and running his thumb across the scabbed scratches on my cheek.

"Oh... we had a bit a situation with Jordan and wolfsbane. She found a bowl of it on her doorstep aswell and touched it before eating. I'm fine though, it's just you know how Jordans wolf is." I laughed, hoping to lighten the mood so he didn't lose it.

"Did you fight her off?"

"Well... I bit her and then force fed her the berries. I sorted it dad, don't worry," I assured him and he nodded.

"Ok, good. Were you two ok in the house together? He is still alive which is a good sign." He laughed, glancing over at Zach who just smirked as I nearly threw up in my mouth. He really didn't need to know how ok we were alone in the house.

"She wasn't too annoying," Zach joked and then I forgot about all the worry with my dad and growled.

"Me!" I yelled while both my dad and Zach laughed. I snarled at the two and rolled my eyes.

"We need to have a chat so I will see you in a little while, honey." My dad kissed my forehead before leading Zach into the office. He gave me one last smirk, which I returned with a scowl before closing the office door.

My dad and Zach had spent over an hour in the office while I occupied myself in my room. I played several games on my phone until finally I heard the door to the office open.

"Ella!" My dad called frantically and I felt a pit form in my stomach immediately. I ran downstairs to see him and Zach at the door and the butterflies left their cages and fluttered about in my belly as I saw their faces.

"Whats going on?" I asked and they both hesitated.

"There's been a fire," my dad reluctantly answered and my throat dried up.

"What?" I choked out as he grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the house into the car. "Where? Was anyone hurt?"

"At Blakes house. He is fine, he got himself and his sister out," Dad explained, pulling off the driveway while I fumbled about with my seatbelt.

"What about his parents?" I asked in panic.

"They were out shopping." My dad sounded completely calm while my mind ran wild with thoughts.

We pulled up outside the rubble that was Blakes house and I saw him sat on the pavement opposite, hugging his younger sister as groups of people were walking around talking and putting out the last of the fire.

"Blake!" I called, tumbling out of the car and rushing over to him. "Are you ok?" I asked wrapping my arms around him.

"I'm fine El," he replied, hugging me back. I let out a sigh of relief as his arms stayed tightly around me.

"Are you ok, Amy?" I asked his little sister who was snivelling next to Blake. I pulled away to see her wide blue eyes filled to the brim with tears and her pale face stained with the teardrops that had already fallen.

"She is fine. Just shaken up," Blake told me, pulling his sister onto his lap and stroking her matted blonde hair.

"I'm ok Ella," she whispered and then reached her arms out for me to pick her up. I swooped her up into my arms and held her against me while my dad made his way over to us.

"Can I ask you both some questions Blake?" He asked, slightly sympathetic. I couldn't help but roll my eyes. No 'are you ok' or anything. Straight to the point.

"Yeah of course," Blake replied.

"Ella, go and wait in the car for a minute," he ordered, not even looking at me.

"Actually, dad I-." I halted as his head shot round to face me and I could practically see the anger steaming off him.

"I'm sorry, did that sound like I was asking?" He glared at me, warning me not to argue and I shrugged before putting Amy back down and stomping back to the car.

Zach came back over from talking to someone and joined me in the car, staring at me as I stropped.

"Whats wrong?" He asked patronisingly.

"Shut up," I huffed and he reached for my waist and pulled me onto his lap so I was facing him. Luckily my dads car windows were blackened so you couldn't see in - he wouldn't have been too happy to see me straddling Zach.

He leaned in and kissed me gently, barely brushing against my lips. After a couple of seconds he pressed harder and before I knew it I was sucking on his bottom lip and his tongue was in my mouth.

He twiddled with the ends of my long dark waves as our lips moved, tugging when he wanted me to move closer and tilting my head so he could delve further into my mouth. I pulled desperately on his lip as his tongue thrust into my mouth. My hands scraped over his scalp, tugging at the roots of his hair while he groaned quietly in satisfaction.

I finally pulled away and was about to say something when he pressed his fingers to my lips and nodded over to were my father was standing. I nodded and smiled before he caressed my neck with kisses, biting and sucking on the tender skin.

"So how did it start?" Caroline asked as we all squished into our booth at the cafe. Beside me, Zach's body was pressed up to the side of mine, sending fire through across my skin.

"Apparently our front door and hallway was drenched in petrol and there was a box of matchsticks thrown into our front garden." Blake replied, sipping his coffee.

"So it was deliberate?" Alexia asked and he nodded.

"How did you not smell the petrol?" Ryder questioned.

"I was asleep, Amy smelt it and went to check it out, she saw the front door was on fire and went to get a bucket and filled it with water. When she went back it had spread throughout the hallway and living room so she screamed. That's what woke me up, I smelt the smoke and ran down to find her hiding in the kitchen. I took her outside and called Alpha Reed," he explained.

"And your sister is completely fine?" Lexi sounded concerned.

"Yes, she is just scared."

"Who the hell would set fire to your house?" Zach asked and we all paused, thinking. His hand was interlocked with mine under the table and his thumb gently rubbed each of my fingers. His velvet touch made it difficult to concentrate on what people were saying but his question registered in my mind. I had been thinking this since we had left Blakes and only one answer rang out in my mind.

"The same person who's been leaving wolfsbane on our doorsteps?" I whispered.

"You think its all linked?" Blake raised his head from his coffee to stare at me. Meanwhile, Zach's hand had left mine and was trailing up my leg, slowly approaching the top of my thigh, making it very hard to reply.

I struggled to muster my breath with the mixture of fear and excitement flooding through me. The thought of someone attacking my pack sent a cold wave of fear through my chest. While the movements of Zach's hand on my inner thigh made my heart warm and beat out of my chest.

"Maybe," I managed to squeak out. None of them noticed my inability to speak except the one who's hand rose even more, brushing my thigh lightly and playfully for a few seconds before his hand pressed against it and squeezed, making me gulp.
