Zach's POV:

I sat in the woods with the others, waiting. My heart raced in my chest as I leant back against the tree. I brought my legs up so that my arms could rest on my knees and slammed my eyes shut.

I could feel my nails slicing through the skin on my palms and small drops of blood oozing around them, but I couldn't unclench my fist. My teeth gritted to stop me from screaming or yelling and I had to use all my strength not to run after her and drag her home.

"Zach, you know I love Ella too. If she got hurt, you know it would kill me." I heard Ryder speak to me, he sounded genuine and like he wanted to stop arguing but his words angered me even more.

"You have no idea how much I love Ella. If they take her then I will be devastated. You still have your god damn brother and all your friends! She is all I have and I can't lose her, so don't act like you know how I feel right now!" I found myself yelling, I swallowed the lump that had formed in my throat and squeezed my fists tighter.

All I could think about was her. Was she at the house yet? How many guys were there waiting for her? Had they hurt her? The thought of anyone laying a hand on her made me want to murder everyone on Earth to keep her safe. She had made me completely crazy.

Ryder didn't answer me which was probably for the best but I couldn't help myself. "If anything happens to Ella and Tyler lives, I will kill him myself," I grunted, a warning tone clear in my voice.

Opposite me, Ryder rose to his feet and started snarling at me. Who did he think he was, picking a fight with me for the second time today? I mirrored his actions and prowled towards him. Both our eyes had flashed bright yellow as we approached each other, our barks and snarls echoing around us.

As I neared him, Jordan's small figure stepped in front of me. She placed her hands on my chest and gently pushed me backwards. I stayed firmly in my place while she tried to move me away from Ryder but I also didn't get closer. I continued to growl at him as I watched Caroline drag him backwards.

I could hear Caroline yelling something but I wasn't listening. I didn't know why I was fighting Ryder, I actually liked the guy. I liked all of them but right now, Ella was my priority and unlike them, I didn't care who died to save her.

"Zach please stop," Jordan's small voice squeaked out from in front of me. I looked down to see her eyes brimming with tears and her hands were shaky. I felt instant guilt wash over me and I knew Ella was going to kill me later.

I pulled Jordan against my chest and held her against me. I could hear the small sobs she was letting out as she clung onto me. "She's going to be ok, Jord," I promised her. "I won't let them take her."

Ella's POV

I left Tyler with the two bodyguards and allowed the other man to drag me across the village and through the woods. His pace slowed once we reached the woods but when we crossed the village he ploughed down the streets, probably to avoid my dad.

He held my arm firmly with his one hand and a clump of my hair grasped in the other. The gun remained tucked in his jacket but my heart hammered in my chest nonetheless. Tears were surfacing as I thought about Tyler and I knew that if the others went through with the plan, he could die.

"Walk faster," he ordered as he tugged on my hair, sending a sharp pain over my scalp. I quickened my pace as he demanded and choked back my tears as we ventured further into the woods.

"Ella?" I heard Masons voice in front of me and my heart stopped beating.

"Mason?" I gasped. He started to approach us as the man halted.
