Hiccup

We had been combing the library for 5 hours now. In that time, both Rapunzel and Merida had their babies grow twice. They looked around four months along.

We decided to split up to cover more ground. Merida and I took the left side while Jack and Rapunzel took the right.

I was skimming through a book when Merida plopped a huge stack of books down beside me. A mushroom cloud of dust floated into the air.

"I never thought I'd see the day that I didn't want to continue reading," I said. She giggled, sitting down across from me. I kept reading, trying to ignore the fact that I felt as embarrassed as I did when we started dating as she stared at me.

"What are you doing?" I asked, not looking up.

"Watching you," she replied. I glanced up at her before continuing the book.

"Don't you have more important things to do?"

"Watching you is important. When you find something important, your eyebrows scrunch up. I'll know to take the book, quickly read the page to see if it is important, and take all the glory for myself as I show the two lovebirds who, last I checked, were gazing longingly into each other's eyes."

I rolled my eyes and closed the book. "Maybe we should have split them up."

"Do you want to be the one to do that?"

We looked at each other and grimaced. One time we had tried to separate them for the good of our eyes and we ended up hanging frozen upside down by some very strong vines.

Merida sighed, stood up, and grabbed the book off the top of the pile. She made a face before opening it.

The sun slowly set, casting an orange glow over us. Rapunzel walked in with multiple candles. Merida lit them with a snap.

"Jack and I are going to get some food, okay?" We both mumbled something along the lines of okay, not looking up from our books.

They eventually returned with a huge pizza(Seriously. It took them 30 minutes to get a simple pizza), setting it on our table.

"Stop reading and smell the pizza!" Jack exclaimed, taking a bite out of a huge slice.

"Ugh. I need a long break," I mumbled, grabbing a slice.

"Stupid Chinese," Merida almost shouted, massaging her temples.

"You can read Chinese?" Rapunzel asked.

"It's been a while, so it's really hard at the moment, but yes, I can."

"When did you learn?" Jack asked.

"When I was human. It was the only princess duty I liked. I could learn all these languages and then run off to the countries with a good excuse."

We finished eating and went out to search for more books.

A while later, after another growth, Merida found a picture of the imp and some lore about it in a French book.

"So, they normally hide out in holes in the ground. Like..." she trailed off, eyes widening. "...rabbit holes."

We grabbed lovebirds and practically ran through the portal back to Tooth Palace.

Yo guys! I actually spent the majority of my day writing an awesome chapter, only to have my phone die. It wasn't saved. So here's the brand new version yay!!
