I was still worried about Merida, her seeing her mom die and all, but she seemed to be holding up pretty well.
I think painting with Rapunzel had become a therapy thing.
"What do you think of this?" Merida asked, holding up what was supposed to be a onesie for Alec. It was uneven, bigger than it was supposed to be, and poorly sewn
"It's great!" I said, smiling.
Unfortunately, she saw right through my lie and slumped in defeat.
"I never thought I would be sewing at all during my life, so I never learned. But you have to admit, it's pretty good for a first try."
Alec was laying on our bed, chewing on his blanket. He did that a lot, and we didn't know why.
"How long do you think he'll stay a baby?" Merida asked.
"No idea. He doesn't seem to be growing quickly."
"He kind of reminds me of my brothers when they were babies. They also had a mess of red curls."
"Gee, I have no idea where Alec could have gotten that from," I murmured. Merida threw a pillow at me, which I caught.
Over the next year, Alec and Orianna grew normally. They learned how to crawl, walk, and talk a little in that time period.
Orianna's first word was, "Pretty." Jack and Rapunzel said that word a lot to describe her, so I guess she picked it up. Her vocabulary consisted of, "Pretty, funny, up, Mother, Daddy, please, no, yes."
Alec's first word was, "Toothless." The dragon in question was playing with him when he said it, and for the 3 days after, strutted around like some big shot. His vocabulary consisted of, "Toothless, Mommy(Merida was very proud that "Mommy" came first), Daddy, yes, no, peek-a-boo, please."
After the whole ordeal, we remembered Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, and Elsa. We went to visit them, and found that Elsa was back on the throne, the man Anna was going to marry was long gone, and Kristoff and Anna were dating.
They were all surprised to see Alec and Orianna, but they soon adored them.
For all the craziness that had happened, this life felt really good.
