Wanda, Pietro, and I stood in the corner as the soldiers frantically moved around, the Avengers are here and trying to get inside. I looked to my brother and sister who held hands as the fighting and yelling took place. When a big boom startled me Pietro grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
I was now listening to the doctor and Baron Strucker who were deciding whether or not to send us out. When they decided not to I sighed and walked closer to Pietro and Wanda.
"We should go out. We should go fight." Wanda said looking at Pietro then at me. "They gave us these abilities to fight the Avengers and now they're here and this is our chance, we need to take our chance." I shook my head agreeing with her, and so did Pietro.
"I'll take the outside. Your two take the inside. Remember to make them hurt." He looked down at me and hugged me. And with that he was off, with a trail of blue. Wanda and I quickly left the room before anyone could see us.
"I'm going this way. Lizzy you be safe okay?" She said squeezing my hand and turning around going down the long hallway. It was quiet now. So I closed my eyes searching through the minds of the people around me, I suddenly found the voice of Captain America, Steve Rodgers, is his name, as I searched through his mind seeing his memories, his doubts, his longings. I then heard him in the other room talking, this was my chance. I smiled at the thought of hurting him, and I walked down the hallway to his voice.
"Don't worry I know when I'm beat." Strucker said to captain America as I walked out of the darkness. "You'll mention how I cooperated I hope," the darkness now following behind me as I pulled it towards me. My hands now had that familiar darkness around them.
"I'll put it right under illegal human experimentation. How many are there?" With that I stepped in front of Captain America and used the darkness around me to throw him back, making him fall down the stairs. Strucker smiled at me as I let go of the darkness, and gestured for me to leave. So I retreated back into the darkness, and went to look for my sister.
"Give a second enhanced, female, do not engage," I smiled knowing Pietro had messed with them.
When I arrived back to the room where I had previously been all the men were on the floor, crying in pain. Then I saw the Iron Man suit standing and looking around, I quickly went into the hallway so I would not be seen. I entered a large dark room and looked around and saw Wanda standing behind Tony Stark, she raised her hand to his ear and a red mist came out of her fingers, his eyes shined red, when she was done she stepped back towards me, she looked down at me smiling at what she had done. With that I looked into his mind and saw his fear. Whenever I used my abilities to look into someone's mind I felt what they felt, looking into his mind I get pain, and guilt. I looked at what Wanda made him see and I saw all the other Avengers dead. I saw the destruction of the world, and above all I saw his fear that would control him, and would eventually destroy him. I stepped back and gasped normally feeling what other people felt made me ache but his pain and guilt felt so familiar that it almost felt normal.
Tony Stark moved awaking from his vision and reached out, a metal arm from his suit covered his hand. Pietro moved forward, Wanda stopped him.
"We're just going to let him take it?" He said confused, I knew she had seen the fear that would control him, but I felt the need to stop him, what if letting his fear control him, meant it would hurt us or more my brother and sister, what if I lost them and I was then truly alone. The thought echoed through my mind, I looked up at Wanda as a smile crept on her face, she watched as Tony grabbed the scepter, I didn't make a move to stop him, I let him leave, and I knew that I would regret it.
