♥️
Kentrell

"I don't even want to talk about it." I groaned plopping down on the couch beside Taymor.

"Nigga you stay walking in my house looking rough." He said looking at my face.
"Why you always getting into it with somebody?"

"Cause it's always somebody that wanna start shit with me." I said looking down at my bleeding knuckles.

Taymor looked at me and shook his head.

"NIIIIICK!" He called.

A few seconds later Nick's footsteps sounded at the stairs as he came flying down.

"Yes Baby?" He said out of breath.

He looked over at me and rolled his eyes.

"Again Kentrell?"

"Really?"

I nodded.

He let out a groan and walked away.

"I'm about to start making you pay me for this shit." He said coming back with a first aid kit and some more stuff.

He sat down next to me taking out some alcohol and cleaning off my knuckles.

"Damn Nick." I hissed.
"You can't use peroxide or something?"

"Hush."

I eyed his tiny, pale, manicure hands in fascination as he tended to my rough ones and wiped off some dried blood.

Nick definitely wasn't big or bad enough to be fighting like me but if he was mad enough he'd mouth off at anyone regardless, especially Taymor.

Just like a female.

Taymor got up and stretched letting out a moan as he did so.

"Nick when you finish with that come upstairs." He told him.

Nick looked at him and rolled his eyes.

"Don't tell me what to do." He mumbled.

Taymor furrowed his eyebrows and looked at Nick with a mug.

"You heard me Nick. Don't try to get cute and shit in front of Kentrell." He said.

"It wasn't up for discussion. I want you upstairs when you're done here."

Nick huffed as Taymor walked out and jogged up the stairs leaving me and Nick alone.

I don't understand their relationship all too much.

All I know is they're both bipolar as fuck when it comes to each other.
But I guess two crazy people in a relationship balances it's self out.

Silence filled the room as he dug into the first aid kit looking for something to wrap my hand in.

"So..." he started.
"What happened this time?"

"Nothing." I shrugged.

"You don't gotta lie." He said looking in my eyes.

I hate when he does that.
Knowing damn well I can't lie to him when he does.

"My dad." I admit.

He let out a sigh.
"I don't see why you won't just move in with us."

He started wrapping my hand in the ace bandage and I watched him carefully.

"I would feel like an intruder." I admitted.
"I'm over here enough anyway."

"That's exactly why you should just move in." He shrugged.

"You already eat up all our food and shit. Might as well."

"Why you want me here so bad?" I laughed.

He rolled his eyes.
"Don't flatter yourself. I just don't think it's healthy for you to be fighting with your dad this much."

"I'll be aight." I told him.

He climbed on my lap and took my face in his hands.

Scanning every part of my face he took note of what was bleeding.

"This needs stitches." He said eyeing my eyebrow.
"There's a deep gash in it."

"Just clean it for me and cover it up, it'll be aight." I tell him.

"Kentrell seriously." He said looking at me concerned.

"It'll be fine Nick."
"I don't got the time or health insurance to be getting stitches." I told him.

He sighed and pulled out more alcohol pads.

Cleaning off the rest of my cuts he put gauze over my eyebrow then got off my lap.

He walked into the kitchen then came back with water and some pills.

"What's that?" I asked him.

"Percocet." He told me untwisting the prescription cap.

"Nigga...

"It ain't just a drug." He stressed.
"It's actually a pain reliever."

"And you about to be in a lot of pain." He said dropping them in my hand.

I looked at them and he handed me the water bottle.

"But you'll be alright." He told me.

"You'll probably be knocked out soon too so I'll come back later to check on you." He said gathering up all the first aid stuff.

"Nick! You done?" Tay asked from upstairs.

"Here I come!" He said walking away.

He looked back at me for a second and I nodded telling him to go ahead.

He walked up the stairs and I sat back and forced the pills down my throat.

Thank god for Nick.
