"Full counter!" Meliodas yelled. The fire was reflected back at the Knights and their armour melted. Meliodas ran past, sword out, and finished them all off.

He stood still, and wiped his brow. It was about nine at night, and it was still sunny, meaning he'd been fighting all day in the hot weather. Not the best weather to fight in, too hot in Meliodas's opinion.

"Toxic shot!" A human knight yelled, running towards Meliodas, Bow aloft.. Meliodas sighed, before dodging the arrow and running the boy clean through. His section of the area was cleared, and he could go back to the camp.

It had been a month since war was declared, and The Supreme Deity had taken full charge of the Goddess Clan and the armies. Diane, Ban, King and Meliodas had to report to her for instructions on what to do with their clan.

He walked through the sea of corpses, almost like he was in a trance. Blood and gore didn't bother Meliodas, he refused to let it. What he hated was why he had to kill them. Though he enjoyed it, it had always bothered him that the war meant so many unnecessary deaths.

Shaking his thoughts off, Meliodas grew wings and flew around his area a few times, making sure there was no survivors and then flying back to camp.

As soon as he arrived at the hidden village (it was surrounded by an illusion of trees), a little boy demon ran up to him with a mug of water.

"For you, mister!" The little boy demon beamed. "You could use it!"

"Thanks, kid." Meliodas smirked, taking a long drink. He handed the mug back to the little boy, and ruffled his hair before continuing his walk to the main house.

"Meliodas!" Elizabeth yelled happily, wrapping her arms around his neck. He spun her around. "You're back!"

"I did tell you I would always come back." Meliodas chuckled. "How's the hospital doing? Are you drinking enough? It's really hot."

It was unbearably hot, one of the hottest summers ever. Diane had joked that more people had died of heatstroke than from battles.

"Yes, I'm fine. A little tired, but I've been healing all day." Elizabeth replied, kissing his cheek. "Come on, my Mother is here. She's waiting for your siblings to finish. She has some sort of job for us."

"Oh really?" Meliodas asked. "Wonder what she wants us to do next."

Hand in hand, they walked into the large tents set up for the army leaders. Inside, Gelda and Zeldris were already there. The Supreme Deity was sitting silently, and they all looked super uncomfortable.

"Mother, he's back." Elizabeth shouted, flying towards her. Meliodas sat down in the chair beside Zeldris, and Elizabeth sat on his lap. Her Mother looked kind of annoyed at that, as any Mother might.

A few minutes later, Lia walked in, followed by Estarossa. They also sat down. Lia had some blood on her.

"Uh, sister, you have a bit of blood on your face." Meliodas nudged Lia.

"I do? Thank you." Lia smiled, wiping her cheek.

"Alright." The Supreme Deity cleared her throat. "I have a mission for you. We recently found out all the extreme weather in our area is caused by a mage from the Rebellion."

"And you want us to kill this mage? Got it. One dead mage." Estarossa cracked his knuckles, grinning.

"No." The Supreme Deity's voice cracked like a whip. "This man is clever. If you so much as draw a weapon within three metres of him, you'll be burnt to a crisp. Luckily, I found someone who knows him, and will help us capture him."
