Moonlit love

Thirteen

~Luna's POV~

I stand on the balcony of our motel room in somewhat of a trance as my magic does its work, lowering the moon and raising the sun. Doing so also begins to wake everyone up, besides Steve who was already up and out running like he said he would be. I feel Steve come up to the door of the balcony as my magic comes back to me. I turn towards Steve and blink as my eyes stop glowing, revealing a solemn looking Steve.

"So, today's the day" Steve says as he walks closer to me.

"Yea, the day I leave Midgard" I say as I look down at my boot cladded feet in sadness, not wanting to leave Steve for fear that he might move on and for fear of my nightmares coming true.

Letting caution fly with the wind I quickly hug Steve, breathing in the scent that was just pure Steve along with a hint of metal and blood. No wait maybe the metal and blood parts me, truth be told I have not had a chance to bathe since I got to Midgard. I begin to calm down as I feel Steve hug me back, running his fingers through my short hair. I pull away slightly so that I can look up at him before he kisses the tip of my nose making me laugh a little bit. Steve smiles at making me laugh which makes me smile because his smiles are adorable and contagious.

"C'mon, the others are waiting in Central Park" Steve says as we stop hugging each other.

"Alright" I say before snapping my fingers, changing back into my Asgardian clothes.

Steve then intertwines his fingers with mine as we head to the door, leaving our motel room turning in our keys in the process. The way of sub ride was long and boring until the same creepy little old man touched my butt again. This time I punched him in the face knocking out his false teeth and giving him a huge bruise on his face. After that we walked hand in hand to the park Steve was talking about, separating our hands when we got to his friends. I look at my brothers who are waiting patiently, despite one of them having been bound and muzzled which looked very uncomfortable in my opinion.

"Well, glad you two could finally join the party" Tony says with a smirk but I just cross my arms.

"You are not very amusing, Stark" I say while I begin to walk over to my brothers but stop.

I turn to Steve and close my eyes, kissing the corner of his mouth shocking everyone. I turn back towards my brothers before my eyes shoot open, I quickly turn around and grab the front of Steve's shirt giving him a big long kiss. I break the kiss looking a star struck Steve in the eyes as I smirk.

"Don't forget me, m'kay?" I ask with a wink as I let go of his shirt.

"I doubt I'll ever forget you Luna" Steve says still star struck from that kiss.

"Good, that's what I wanted to hear. Now then I feel like I'm forgetting something, but what is it though? Oh I remember now. . ." I trail off as I whirl around towards Tony swiftly kicking him in the crotch before punching him in the stomach making him double over in pain.

"Ow! Mother fucker!!" Tony yells as he grips his stomach and crotch in pain, falling to the ground in a heap like the wimp that he is.

"That's for all the sexist comments you asshole. Now then, goodbye everyone I'll remember you all in therapy!" I exclaim before walking over to my brothers.

"Was that really necessary Luna?" Thor asks while looking at me as Loki laughs behind his muzzle.

"Yes, yes it was. Anyways, beam us up Scotty!" I shout before the bifrost swallows us up, pulling us away from Midgard and me away from Steve.

I was dreading every second as the bifrost brought us closer to Asgard and my appending doom. Once we hit the by frost entrance on Asgard I stumble slightly and hold my stomach, feeling the nauseous aftermath of the bifrost once again. The nausea begins to wear off just as I hear hooves clomping against the bridge making me look and see my father riding up on his horse.

"Uh oh, time for me to amscray" I say before quickly hiding behind Thor.

"Sister what are you doing?" Thor asks as he looks over his shoulder at me.

"Shut up, I'm hiding. Just act natural and pretend I'm not here until I figure out what to do" I say quickly before I try to find an escape route but I find none.

I didn't really pay attention to what father was saying to Thor and Loki because I was still thinking. I was broken out of my train of thought when I heard my father say something I did not want to hear.

"And I would like to have a word with you when be get back to the palace Luna, alone"

"Damn it" I mumble as I look at the gold ground below my feet.

Loki and Thor laugh a little but I simply elbow Loki in the ribs before spin kicking Thor sending him flying away from me. I march my way past my father and take the reins of my horse from Sif. I get onto Midnight and ride back to the palace, planing on avoiding my father until it is physically impossible for me not to avoid him.
