I listened carefully as Thor, Peter and Tony talked to each other quietly, only a few feet away from me. Not being able to hear everything they said, I had to piece together some things. Eventually I came to the conclusion that Thor trusted me, Peter was unsure and Tony had no idea what to think. I chuckled, seeing as how all of their opinions really suited their characters. It was almost as if I was back home, like nothing had changed. And I wanted so badly to tell everyone how much I missed them, but I couldn't, because they had no idea who I was. So I kept my mouth shut and did as they said. Including answering all of their questions.

The first two nights at the compound weren't bad. It was simply answering questions, being as honest as I could and staying out of trouble. It wasn't until I ran into Loki that I started to lose my control.

I bumped into him late at night making my way into the kitchen. I had gained enough trust to wander around myself, having limitations and of course staying within them to further the trust even more.

He was on his way into the kitchen as well, most likely wanting to make himself a cup of tea. My Loki was so predictable. We only exchanged glances and faint apologies for the sudden contact with each other. I changed my mind about needing to be in the kitchen and just went on to bed. After that, we somehow always managed to bump into each other. As if something is bringing us back to one another.

My fourth night at the facility is when I had a full conversation with him for the first time in six years. I was already sat at the island in the kitchen when he snuck in to make himself some tea and a small midnight snack. I smiled at him, watching as he looked at me in shock like a child being caught stealing candy.

"Don't worry, I won't tell on you." I chuckled lightly, sipping from my tea and hiding my right hand in my lap. I lifted a small package from the counter in front of me and nodded to him. "These go great with a cup of chamomile if you want some."

Loki smiled and nodded, taking a seat next to me at the island. He stirred his tea a few times before placing his spoon down and looking at me.

I smiled, sliding the package of cookies to him. "These are my favourite."

Silently, Loki took a cookie from the package and took a bite. He nodded and hummed in approval, eating the rest of the cookie before taking a sip of his tea.

I laughed faintly, watching as he ate three more and finished his cup of tea. "It's safe for me to assume you like them then?"

Loki nodded quickly, clearing his throat. "They're delicious."

"I'm glad you like them." I smiled, staring down at my own empty cup. "My name is Breean, by the way."

"Really? That's my daughter's name." Loki said with a smile. "Well, I'm Loki. It's nice to finally talk to you, Breean."

I smiled, shaking Loki's hand and quickly pulling away before I gave in to the urge to hold it.

"So you have a daughter?" I questioned, standing to pour myself another cup of hot water for my tea. I glanced back at Loki as he replied.

"Her name's Breean. She just turned eightteen last month."

"You have a wife, then?" I asked, sitting next to him once again.

Loki shook his head. "I don't know where she is. She left not long after Lee was born and I never heard from her again."

I frowned, staring up at Loki sympathetically. "I'm sorry to hear that. She must not know what she's missing out on then. Seeing as you seem like a wonderful man and your daughter a wonderful girl. She mustn't realize what a great family she's left behind."

Loki nodded and smiled. "Thank you. I really needed to hear that."

"You're quite welcome. And if you need to talk I'm here. I know we just met and I'm kind of here because people think I'm a criminal, but I really am a good person. Or I at least try to be anyway."

Loki chuckled and looked at me. "You seem wonderful. And according to my brother you're completely innocent. He's just still amazed that you knew that the real criminal was an Asgardian. That and the fact that you easily pulled her off of that old man despite the fact that she weighs a lot and that she's a demigod."

I shrugged. "What can I say. I'm a strong woman."

Loki laughed. "Apparently you are."
