I looked up and gasped, seeing how big Breean had gotten. Shakily, I set my cup down and turned my head to look at Loki.

He smiled at me and moved to stand with Breean. "Lee, this is Aidan. She's going to be a new recruit. Aidan, this is Breean. Ou- my daughter."

Breean waved and spoke quietly. "Hi."

I did the same, waving shyly. "It's nice to see- meet you, Breean."

"Aidan here can manipulate fire just like you, Lee." Loki smiled, taking a seat next to me once more. Bree leaned against the island across from us.

"Really?" She asked, arching a brow. "I've never met anyone like me before. Other than you, dad."

I chuckled, holding out my left hand and forming a small orb of fire in my palm. I tossed it into the air before catching it and putting it out in one swift motion.

"Cool." Bree whispered with wide eyes. "Have you met Pete yet?"

I laughed and shrugged. "Kind of. He's the one that brought me here along with Thor and the other woman."

"Other woman?" Bree questioned, looking as Loki.

"Asgardian." He said, stirring his tea. "Aidan stopped her from robbing someone but there was a misunderstanding and Peter thought that Aidan was helping."

Bree nodded in understanding. "But everyone knows the truth now though, right?"

I shook my head. "Not exactly. I actually haven't had much of a chance to talk to anyone else other than your father."

Bree looked at Loki again. "Dad, why haven't planned a meeting or something? Should I talk to Buck?"

"He doesn't seem very fond of me either." I chuckled sadly.

"Oh please, you two connected just fine. With both of you missing an arm and all." Loki mumbled into his cup.

I scoffed. "Jealous much?"

Loki looked at me from the corner of his eyes. "Of course not. I barely know you."

"Bull." I sassed, crossing my arms.

"Wait, you have an arm like Bucky's?!" Bree asked excitedly. "Lemme see!"

I smiled, shrugging off Loki's jacket before pulling my sweater over my head once again. Air hitting my skin sent a shiver through me and I rubbed my extremely warm arm.

"Woah." Breean moved to my side of the island and held out her hand. "Can I?"

I nodded, turning so that Bree could get a better look. She eyed the arm closely, taking in every last detail.

"Is that a TS?" She questioned, moving in closer.

I laughed nervously and nodded. "Y-yeah."

"As in Tony Stark?"

I looked over my shoulder at Loki. He sighed, standing to pour himself another cup of tea.

"Don't be rude, Lee." He spoke, filling both of our cups and returning to sit next to me. This time, however, he planted himself closer to me than before. So close that our legs touched as we sat.

Bree huffed and pulled away from me. "Sorry, Ms. Aidan."

I shook my head, putting Loki's jacket on again and abandoning my sweater. "Just Aidan. Or Breean, if you'd like."

"Is Breean your real name?" Bree asked, taking her place across from Loki and myself again.

"Middle." I corrected. "Aidan Breean Murray. It's what...nevermind."

Breean smiled, completely forgetting what I was going to add. She stood straight and sighed.

"I'm going to go talk to Pete." She smirked, backing towards the door.

"Lee." Loki said sternly.

Breean stopped and huffed. "I know."

I glanced between the two of them in confusion.

I'll tell you later.

I chuckled quietly.

"I'm just looking out for you, love." Loki smiled. I tensed at the nickname, thinking back to all the times he used the same name on me. "Go on."

Bree grinned and quickly ran from the kitchen. As soon as she was out of sight, I turned in my seat to face Loki. My legs on each side of my bar stool and my hands in between my thighs.

"So?" I began, tilting my head back to look at Loki. "What's up with her and Peter?"

Loki sighed, sipping his tea before setting down his cup. He glanced over to me.

"She has a bit of a crush on him. Has for a while now." Loki explained, crossing his arms. "I just don't want her to get hurt. Especially since he's older than her and most likely doesn't reciprocate the feelings."

I nodded. "It makes sense. But you can't always shield her. She's got to live, have experiences like this. I mean yeah, she might get hurt but it's all a part of life. A normal life, at least."

"You're right." Loki smiled, finally keeping eye contact with me. "I need to be less strict. I'm sure it wouldn't even be an issue if you had stuck around...I..I didn't mean it like that."

I chuckled, resting my hand on Loki's knee. "I know. But, I don't think Bree would be the same if I had stayed. She would be different and probably not in the best way. Oh, and have you talked to her about school?"

"Not yet." Loki paused and smiled. "I was actually thinking that you could do it. Once the both of you get a bit closer. It will be nice for Bree to have a woman to talk to."

"That may take a while, don't you think?" I looked down, seeing my hand still resting on Loki's knee and quickly pulling it away. "Sorry. I keep forgetting that we're not back in time"

"It's alright." Loki grinned. "It's kind of nice actually. Not many people make contact with me."

I frowned but then smiled, staring up at Loki. "Well, we need to change that. Don't you think?"

Loki smirked. "Maybe."
