CHARTER 8

All of them went speechless as they heard it from Kuro. Thinking of a the reason why the enemy attacked one of them. Fear that their Eve will be the next target.

“Then we won’t let our guard down.” Gluttony said, “We need to protect our Eve.”

“No.” Kuro shook his head, making them stopped. “It wasn’t my Eve that his after.”

“Then, who?” Pride asked. Lily notice right away.

“Do you mean--” Lily stopped mid sentence.

“Yes. [F/N] [L/N].” Kuro said,

As the name were unknown to them except Lily. They complain, if it wasn’t the Eve that is in danger then it’s not their problem for an outside to be involved.

“Why worry for an outsider.” Envy complained again.

“She is not your Eve.” Pride tried reasoning to Kuro. “Involve in her problem then--”

“I know.” Kuro said and stopped Pride from continuing.

“Then, is she your subclass?” Greed ask, “If she is then--” Greed stopped talking when he sees that Kuro shook his head again.

“Then what is it!!” Gluttony was full of anger, patient wasn’t holding him off.

All of them waited for Kuro to speak up. It took a while before Kuro finally spoke, but the only thing that they saw was Kuro’s face that show frustration and sorrow.

“She’s special.” Kuro said, the atmosphere went quiet until Pride spoke up,

“Fine” Pride sigh, “We’ll help, but I don’t know what's the good of us when Lust, Greed and me had lost our powers.”

Kuro already knew that, but he needs help to figure out how to evade them. Thinking too much, they notice something about Kuro. The girl that Kuro mention, [F/N] [L/N], meant something to Kuro.

“Let’s stop for today.” Pride suggest, “Tomorrow, we’ll continue.” Pride looked at Kuro. “Sleepy Ash. Bring the girl tomorrow and we’ll meet--” he was cut off immediately by Kuro.

“Lily.” Kuro called,

“Yes. Tomorrow, at Alicein’s mansion.” Lily said,

“End.” Kuro dismiss the meeting.

At Misono’s living room. [F/N] and I explained about her right eye that could see people’s past. Misono was amazed to listen but he knew as well that this kind of power will show some part of darkness in seeing people’s past.

“Where is Lily.” Misono was angry for waiting too long. Tapping his feet on the floor, not being patient anymore.

“Kuro is late.” [F/N] said,

“I know. The meeting took longer than I thought.” I said, looking at the sky. The sun will set sooner or later. Talking about them, a portal appear and soon to show Kuro and Lily walking out. “Took you long enough.” I looked at both of the Vampires.

“Was it so important?” [F/N] asked Kuro, but Lily answered.

“It’s precious than important.”

What Lily said made Misono, [F/N] and I confused, what was so precious about the meeting that they just had. [F/N] was about to asked more but...

“Let’s go home.” Kuro said and left.

“Oi. Kuro.” I called out for him, but he wouldn’t listen and just walk towards the front gate.

“You two should go home early. If night falls, then there's no doubt that the man will chase you two again.” Lily said, so we chase Kuro after we thank Lily and Misono for our stay.
