Chapter 4

Veronica POV

I knocked the door and she opened it.

"VERONICA!!" She said and pulled me inside her room.

"Hey" I said a little surprise.

"Ok so are you going to stay the night?" She asked me while walking to her desk.

"No I'm gonna call Hannah to pick me up." I said sitting down.

"Or... Aaron and I can take you home" she said smiling.

"No thank you, I don't want problems with him" I said raising my eyebrows.

"Oh Veronica but he's your friend, isn't he? She asked me.

"Sure, if he calls me big head" I whispered to myself.

"That's why my parents had to go to his school, cause he called you big head." She said.

"Um... I don't know. I said nervously.

"Hey ladies, do you guys need something?" Her mom said while walking in the room.

"Aaron called her a big head" Mariah said pointing to me.

"Oh really, I'm sorry about my son." She said while looking at me.

"It's al..."

"Come with me" she said cutting me off and pulling my hand.

Mariah walked behind us.

We walked downstairs where her dad was.

"Dad" Mariah said.

"Yes" He said while looking at her.

"This is the girl that Aaron called big head" Aaron's mom said.

I looked down because I knew something bad was about to happen.

"What?! But why did he called you that?" He said sitting up from his chair.

"Mariah, call Aaron and make him apologize." Their mom said.

Mariah was about to walk upstairs, but I grabbed her hand.

"No, No, please don't, it's alright, it's not a big deal." I said holding Mariah's hand.

"Then how is he going to apologize to you?" Mariah asked.

"He doesn't have to apologize" I said

"Are you sure?" Their mom said.

"Yes, I'm positive." I said looking at her.

I let go of Mariah's hand.

"I know how he is going to apologize." Their mom said.

I was a little confused when she said that.

"How?" Mariah asked.

"By taking her home" Their mom said.

"No, it's fine, I can walk to my friend's house. It's not that far from here." I said.

"Mariah, call Aaron." Their mom said.

"No, Mrs.Burriss, it's alright I swear." I said.

"No, it's ok, Mariah is going with you guys, don't worry." She said while I saw Aaron and Mariah walking downstairs. Mariah had my stuff in her hands.

Aaron POV

I'm grounded for a month, what a surprise.

I heard someone knocking on my door.

"What?!" I said in my bed.

"Can I come in?" Mariah asked.

"Yeah sure" I said.

"You're so stupid" Mariah said.

I was just staring at her.

"Mom is calling you" she said walking out my room.

"I get up from bed and walked downstairs. My mom and Veronica were talking.

"Mrs.Burriss, it's fine" Veronica said.

Veronica was try to convince my mom, but for what?

Veronica POV

I insist, I'm fine" I said.

I was trying so hard to convince her but it doesn't work.

"What mom" Aaron said walking into the kitchen.

"You're going to take Veronica home" his mom said.

Aaron wasn't really happy.

"Why?" He said

"First, you called her big head and you're asking why?" Mariah said.

This will be my first and last time walking into this house.

Aaron was looking at me really pissed. I'm scared now. I was shaking.

"Let's go" Aaron said very pissed off.

I grabbed my stuff and walked out.

"Thank you" I said while walking out.

We jump in his car and left. I thought Mariah was coming with us.
