Chapter 16

Veronica POV

I woke up and walked to the bathroom. I took a quick shower and got dressed (pic at top). I brushed my teeth and hair. I walked out my room grabbing my backpack and phone.

I walked into the kitchen but saw my mom making breakfast. I immediately walked out.

"Veronica........come here please." My mom said and I walked back inside.

"Yes??" I said while rolling my eyes.

"Me and your stepdad-"

"Uncle." I said cutting her off.

"Me and your uncle are going on a business trip for some months." My mom said.

"Oh that's nice. Just like always." I said while smiling sarcastically.

"Please Veronica, I don't want you to be mad at me forever." My mom said while holding my hands.

"I have to go, see ya mom." I said while walking out.

"Hey Veronica." Hannah said while waving at me.

"Hey Hannah." I said.

"Ready??" He asked me.

"Yup." I said while walking in her car.

We got to school and I saw Mariah running to me.

"Hey Veronica." Mariah said while hugging me.

"Hey Mariah." I said while hugging her back.

"I'll go to class." Hannah said while tapping my shoulder.

"See ya." I said.

We walked in the building and I saw Aaron, Noah, and Mason. There was no sight of Dylan.

Me and Mariah have different classes right now.

I walked in my class and saw Emma waiting for me on her desk.

"Hey best friend." Emma said.

"Hey bes-"

"Hey Veronica." Sadie cut me off while standing in front of me.

"What are you doing here??" I asked.

"I moved schools." She said.

"Nice, so now I have to see you everyday." I said.

"Yeah, isn't that amazing." She said sarcastically while walking away.

3 minutes later, Aaron walked in and he smiled at me. I started to blush.

The class starts and I can only see Aaron staring at me from the corner of my eye.

After class, I waited for Emma. Aaron passed next to me, giving me a little smirk.

"Ok, what's going on between you two?" Emma asked me.

"Nothing." I said while walking away.

After class, I walked to Hannah's car but Aaron stopped me.

"Yes??" I said while turning around and smiling.

He pulls me to a corner, making sure no one sees us.

He pushes me against the wall breathing heavily.

"You are making me crazy with those shorts, baby." He said while smirking.

"Why does your breath smells like alcohol?" I asked.

"I just drank a little....." He said. His breath smells disgusting.

He smashed his lips on mine. I could taste the vodka in his lips. I pushed him away.

"Why are you drinking in school??" I asked.

"I wasn't." Aaron said.

"How many fingers am I holding up?" I asked holding up 6 fingers.

"Umm..... thirteen?" He said.

"How am I going to hold thirteen fingers up, when I only have ten fingers." I said.

"Whatever. See ya at my house." Aaron said.

"There's no way you are going to drive home with Mariah." I said.

I called Hannah and told her that I'm going to do math homework with Mariah.

"Let's go." I said while pulling Aaron's hand.

"Mariah!!!" I yelled.

She ran to us and we jumped in the car to Aaron's house.

"What's wrong with Aaron?!?!" Mariah asked.

"Your brother got drunk." I said and Mariah hits Aaron's arm.

"Ow, what was that for?" Aaron asked.

"For being an idiot." Mariah said and I started laughing.

We got to his house and I parked in the driveway.

Mariah and I picked up Aaron, taking him in the house. We laid him down on the couch.

"Where are your parents?" I asked.

"I don't know. Maybe at work?" Mariah said.

"Ok, I better get going." I said while grabbing my backpack.

"Veronica, you can't go home by yourself." Mariah said.

"I'll go to Emma's house. It's not that far from here." I said.

"Yes it is. She lives like 30 minuets away from here." Mariah said.

"You're staying here, in my bedroom." Mariah said.

"No Mariah, if I'm staying, I'm sleeping on the couch." I said.

"Ok, then help me take Aaron to his room." Mariah said.

We took Aaron to his room. He was so heavy.

"He is so heavy." Mariah said.

We walked downstairs, to the kitchen and talked for a while.

"It's late, we should go to sleep." Mariah said.

Mariah gave me some blankets and a pillow.

I laid down and closed my eyes.

"Goodnight Veronica." Mariah said.

"Goodnight Mariah." I said.

I fell asleep but like 30 minutes later, I felt someone on top of me.

I closed my eyes and that person smashed their lips on mine. I opened my eyes and saw Aaron. I kissed him back but then I pulled away.

"Aaron, what are you doing??" I asked.

"Just hanging out with the love of my life." Aaron said and I giggled.

"That's nice but you're heavy." I said.

"Oh sorry." He said while pulling me up.

"I'm tired." I said.

"Ok then." Aaron said while laying down on the couch.

"Aaron." I said.

"Lay down on top of me." Aaron said while opening his arms.

I laid down on top of him and he was playing with my hair.

"I love you." Aaron said.

"I love you too." I said and fell asleep.
