Chapter 3

Veronica POV

"Look who's here. It's big head" Aaron said walking towards me.

I just ignore him.

"Leave her alone Burriss" Ethan said from behind him.

"This is non of your business Dolan" Aaron said.

"Veronica, what are you doing here?" Hannah asked me.

"Um... We didn't have practice" I said.

"Who's the captain?" Ethan asked me excited.

"Um... Mariah is the co-captain and I am the captain." I said

"Also we are having a game in 3 days" I said

"WHAT?! My sister would've been a way better captain." Aaron yelled.

"Aaron!!!" Mariah yelled.

"Mariah??" I said confused.

"Veronica is way better than me in soccer and you know that I think it was fair leaving me as a co-captain." Mariah said walking to Aaron.

"Whatever" Aaron said.

"Congratulations!!" Hannah said while lifting me up and hugging me.

"Thank you" I said laughing.

I saw Aaron's face and he wasn't really happy. I wasn't sure if it was because I'm the captain or something else.

"Ok let's go, we have to go change" Ethan said.

Hannah puts me down and Ethan and Hannah walked inside the lockers. I was standing outside.

I was looking around when I saw Aaron shirtless. OMG his abs,his arms, ugh. Honestly Aaron is hot but the way he is makes him look ugly.

I bite my bottom lip while staring at Aaron. I was covering my lips so he doesn't see me.

"I'm sorry about Aaron" Mariah said sitting next to me.

"It's alright" I said looking at her.

"If you are the captain and I'm the co-captain, I think we should became friends." Mariah said.

"Yeah I think we should" I said smiling.

"Ok so come to my house today" Mariah said.

"What?!?! I don't want to be mean but your brother and I don't have a really good relationship at all." I said trying not to be mean.

"But you are going to see me, not my brother." Mariah said.

"I don't know" I said while looking at my hands.

"Please!! Also if you don't feel comfortable, then you don't have to step a foot in my house." She said laughing a little.

"Ok fine, I'll go." I said smiling.

"Ok here's my phone number" she said handling me a piece of paper.

"Let's go Mariah" Aaron said walking with Dylan.

"Bye see ya later." Mariah said in a whisper.

Then I saw Hannah and Ethan walking out the lockers.
