Chapter 38

Emma POV

"Veronica can't go to lunch." I said to Aaron.

"WHAT?!?!" He asked almost yelling.

"Aaron, chill." Dylan said.

"Why can't she go to lunch??" Hannah asked.

"Because she is going to retake a test." Mariah said.

"Now what?? How the heck I'm going to ask her??" Aaron asked.

"At your game??" I asked.

"We have to talk with the coach about it and I'm not pretty sure if he is going to let us." Aaron said.

"He will Aaron. You're the captain." Mariah said.

"Ok, so who is coming with me??" Aaron asked.

"I'll go." I said.

"Me too." Dylan said.

"Ok so, Hannah and Mariah go to class." Aaron said and they nodded. They then walked away.

We walked to the coach's office and he was talking with Dolan.

"Yeah, Thank you." Ethan said while standing up. He walked to the door and opened it. When Ethan opened it, he was looking at Aaron so piss.

"Um...... excuse me???" Aaron said trying not to sound rude. Ethan moves from the door and walked to his locker.

Aaron POV

"Go Aaron." Emma said.

I walked in and saw him sitting at his desk. I closed the door behind me and that's when he turns to me.

"Hey Aaron, what are you doing here??" He asked me nicely.

"I came to see if you can do me a favor." I said.

"Ok, please take a seat." He said while pointing to the chair in front of his desk. I sat down and put my backpack on the floor.

"How can I help you??" He asked me.

"It's about the game......." I said.

"You're not quitting, are you?!?!" He said and his eyes got wide opened.

"NO, NO...... I'm not quitting." I said.

"Good.......What is it then??" He asked.

"So I like this girl. Her name is Veronica Jo Merrell. I think you know who she is." I said.

"Yeah I know. She is the captain of the girls soccer team." He said.

"And I-"

"Wait, you like her?!?!" He asked me and I nodded.

"I thought she was dating Dolan." He said.

"No, they broke up because he was cheating on her." I said.

"Oh, I didn't know." He said.

"So I was thinking about asking her to be my girlfriend at lunch but she's not able to go. She needed to go retake a test." I said.

"She is so responsible unlike some other people." He said while pointing to me and I laughed.

"Ok so, what do you want me to do??" He asked me.

"If I could ask her to be my girlfriend before the game starts??" I said and he didn't answer me. I started to get really nervous.

"How much do you like her??" He asked me.

"A LOT!!" I said.

There was an awkward silence in the room.

"Yeah sure, why not." He said while smiling.

"Really?!?!" I said.

"Yeah, I think you guys would make a cute couple." He said.

"Thank you so much." I said while standing up.

"Aaron??" He said and I turned around.

"Yeah??" I asked.

"Veronica is a good, smart, and a nice girl. Please don't hurt her. I know you used to play with girls and we both know that Veronica doesn't deserve that." He said.

"Yeah and I regret it. I didn't want to hurt none of them. I don't know what was wrong with me." I said.

"I hope none of them is pregnant." He said.

"No they're not. I used protection and I told them that if one of them ends up pregnant, I would be responsible for it. They all said they were not pregnant....... Thank god." I said.

"That's good Aaron......... See you later and have everything ready." He said.

"I will." I said.

I walked out his office to see Emma and Dylan sitting on the floor.

"Lets go." I said.

"What did he say??" Dylan asked me.

"He said yes." I said.

"That's cool, now we have to get ready at lunch." Emma said and I nodded.

"Now, lets go back to class." I said.

Veronica POV

"Burriss??" Mr. Fuentes said and I turned around to see Aaron standing in the door way.

"Hi." Aaron said.

"Why are you late??" He asked.

"Um...... I was at-"

"He was with me. I needed to talk to him and I forgot to give him a pass." Aaron's coach said.

"Ok, now sientate." He said and Aaron was a little confused. He doesn't speak Spanish but he understands a couple of words.

"Veronica??" Mr. Fuentes said.

"Yeah." I said.

"Explicale a Aaron que estabamos viendo ahorita please." He said.

"Yeah sure." I said.

Aaron sat down in his desk and I started to explain to him. He wasn't even paying attention.

"Can you please stop staring at me and pay attention." I said while smiling.

"I can't, the view from here is amazing." Aaron said and I blushed.

"And it's getting better." Aaron said which made me to blush even harder. I covered both of my cheeks.

"Stop." I said.

The bell rang and everyone stands up but Aaron.

"Aaron, you can leave. I have to retake a test." I said.

"Oh yeah, see ya in the next class." Aaron said and I nodded.

Aaron walks out and Mr. Fuentes walks to me with the test in his

"Veronica, aquí está tu prueba ya puedes empezar." He said while handling me the test.

The test wasn't that hard when you study before. When you don't study, that's when it gets hard.

Aaron POV

"Ok, each of you are going to get 5 balloons and 3 red roses." I said.

"There's 10 of us which means Veronica will have 30 roses and 50 balloons." Dylan said.

"So Aaron, you need to have your uniform on when Veronica gets here." Mariah said.

"Yes I know. Don't worry about me." I said.

"Aaron, do you have the tickets??" Hannah asked me.

"Of course I do. This is going to be fun." I said.

"Ok so, see y'all after school. When you walk out of class, please come running because we have to get somethings ready before Veronica walks in from the door." I said.

They all agreed which means we are ready.
