Chapter 21

Veronica POV

😃3 months later😃

I woke up and got up from my bed. I looked down at my legs and I don't have anymore scars. I can't say the thing about my arms and stomach.

I put my black shorts on and a shirt with long sleeves. I brushed my hair and put it in a messy ponytail.

"Hey Veronica." Ethan said while walking inside my room.

"Hey Ethan." I said while changing my bed sheets.

"Veronica... This is like the fourth time you changed them this week." Ethan said.

"Do I have something else to do??" I said while putting my pillows on my bed.

"Exactly..... Lets go." Ethan said while pulling my hand.

"Where??" I asked.

"Just come with me." Ethan said.

I grabbed my phone and Ethan was still pulling my hand.

We ran downstairs and my mom came running out the kitchen.

"What's wrong??" My mom asked.

"We're going out." Ethan said.

"Bye mom." I said while running out the house with Ethan.

"Have fun you guys!!!" My mom yelled while standing at the front door.

We jumped in Ethan's car. I have no idea where we are going but Ethan is so funny. He was making me laugh a lot.

We got to the mall and Emma, Hannah, and Dylan were already there. I jumped out the car and Emma ran to me while hugging me tight.

"I'm really happy you are better now." Emma said while pulling away.

I said hi to Hannah and Dylan. We walked in the mall.

Emma and I were running around in every single store until I saw Mariah. She saw me too.

"Veronica!!" She yelled while running to me.

She hugs me and I hug her back. We pulled away and I saw Aaron with Noah standing there.

Aaron POV

Veronica was hugging Mariah. For the first time in my life, I wish I was Mariah. She saw me and her eyes were full of sadness.

"What's wrong with Veronica??" Noah asked me and I remembered what I did to her.

Ethan walks in the store and saw Veronica with fear in her eyes. He looks at me and he hugs Veronica. He tells her something in her ear and she nodded. They said bye to Mariah and walked out the store.

Mariah walked to us very mad.

"YOU SEE WHAT YOU DID?! SHE IS NOT GONNA GET CLOSE TO ME BECAUSE OF YOU!!" Mariah yelled and walked out the store.

"What did I miss??" Noah asked.

I rolled my eyes and walked out behind Mariah.

Veronica POV

"Veronica, are you ok??" Emma asked me and I nodded.

"You saw him, didn't you?" Dylan said and I nodded.

"We saw him, Noah, and Mariah walking in that store." Hannah said.

"Can we go somewhere else?" I asked.

Ethan nodded and we walked out the mall.

We jumped in the car and drove away from the mall.

"I'm really sorry Veronica. I-"

"It's alright. You didn't know that they were going to be there." I said while grabbing his hand.

We got to Knott's and my eyes got wide opened.

"Here?!?!" I said and Ethan nodded.

We jumped out and Emma was very excited.

"Lets go Veronica." Emma said while pulling my hand.

We got on the Xcelerator and it was so scary. We were in the car all day. It was a pretty fun day today.

My favorite ride was the Perilous Plunge. I got soaking wet.

I was shaking because I was cold as f*ck.

"Here." Ethan said while handling me his sweater.

"Thank you." I said while putting it on.

"It smells like you." I said while laughing.

Ethan looked at me while smiling.

"What?!?!" I asked while giggling.

"Nothing, I just like to see you smile." Ethan said and I blushed.

I was laughing and having fun all day long.

"Guys, I think it's time to go home." Hannah said while looking at the time.

"Yeah we should. I hope we don't have traffic." Ethan said while we walked out the park.

We jumped in the car and started to drive home. Lucky, we didn't have traffic.

Ethan took me to my front door.

"Thank you for today. I really had fun." I said while smiling.

"That's good to hear." Ethan said.

Ethan starts to lean in and our lips touched. We moved in sync but something didn't feel right. I pulled away.

"I'm sorry, I didn-"

"Ethan, stop saying sorry when you kiss me." I said while giggling.

"It's just that I didn't want to make you uncomfortable." Ethan said.

"I doesn't me me uncomfortable........... I just need some time. I said while taking his hands

"Take your time. I'll be waiting. Ethan said.

I hugged him and he hugged me back. We pulled away and Ethan walked to his car.

"ETHAN!!" I yelled and he turns around.

"Can you come tomorrow??" I asked.

"Yeah of course." Ethan said while smiling. I walked inside my house. My mom was standing there with a huge smile.

"What?!?!" I said while smiling.

"TELL ME EVERYTHING!!" My mom yelled and I ran to sit on the couch. I told my mom everything that happened.
