Chapter 23

Aaron POV

I walked out Veronica's house and I heard her talking with Emma in her room.

"Veronica, please don't cry. I know it's hard for you because you loved him once in your life." Emma said.

"I-I.... did loved him. He didn't even care about my pain w-when...... he puts the cigarette on my stomach. I thought he was different, not like.....
Nathan." Veronica said.

"No Veronica, don't say that. Nathan crossed the line with your life. He went way to far." Emma said.

Who's Nathan??

"Veronica, don't worry. He is where he is suppose to be." Emma said.

"Yeah but what if he gets out of jail. He will looks for me. He warned me. Emma, I'm so scared." Veronica said while crying a bit louder.

"Veronica, you have us. He will never touch you again. We'll protect you. I will promise that." Emma said.

"You know between Nathan and Aaron, Nathan is way worse." Emma said.

They then turned off the lights.

I jumped in my car and drove straight home. When I got there, I walked to Mariah's room.

"Mariah." I said while opening the door.

"What do you want Aaron??" She said rudely.

"Look, I know you are mad at me because you think Veronica is not gonna talk to you because of me." I said.

"I don't think that Aaron, it's true. What happened in the store when she saw you?? She's scared of you." Mariah said.

"Mariah, I just need to ask you a question." I said.

"What?!?!" She said.

"Who's Nathan??" I asked.

"I don't know. Why??" She said confused.

"Because I went to Veronica's house and she was talking with Emma about Nathan." I said.

"I don't know........ but tomorrow we have practice. If she doesn't talk to me, I swear Aaron, you're dead." Mariah said while walking out the room.

😔Next Morning😔  Veronica POV

I woke up trying not to remember what happened yesterday. Emma went home so I'm going to take a shower.

I get out the shower and get dressed. It was cold outside. (pic on top)

I brushed my teeth and left my hair down. I walked downstairs and my mom was in the living room.

"I left you some pancakes on the counter honey." My mom said.

"Thank you mom." I said while walking to the kitchen.

I wasn't really hungry so I grabbed a peach and walked out the kitchen.

"Bye mom. I have to go." I said.

"Bye honey." My mom said.

"Bye Veronica." My uncle said while walking downstairs.

"Bye dad." I said and his smile got wide with his eyes.

He ran to me and hugged me tightly. He lift me up and I was laughing.

"So I'm finally in your heart??" He asked me while putting me down.

"You were always in my heart." I said while giggling.
